  1. En los comentarios del siguiente video respondo a uno que me pregunta por el CD-SR110, aunque creo que también lo copié en algún post de este foro. Lo he tenido con un AVIC-X1BT y ahora con el F50BT, por lo que no se si te sirve la respuesta:
  2. Thanks for the info! It seems that Pioneer continues with its selfish policy (I suppose they do this to try selling map updates). They will know what they are doing, but maybe, I would have changed my F50BT for the F60DB (european equivalents to Z150BH and 8000NEX) it they would have fixed this stupid behaviour. I'm just curious for watching the AVICSYNC app working when they release it. If the traffic information is more accurate than waze's, maybe it's a good alternative to appRadio Mode, although you had to pay for the service.
  3. Does the 8000NEX send GPS signal to the AppRadio Mode? I mean, Can you use Waze or any other navigation APP with ARU and your Mobile GPS turned off?
  4. I mean you can't use the avic GPS signal in phone apps like Waze or Google Maps sorry for my English
  5. I have the CD-SR110, but with a different Head Unit (AVIC-F50BT) so maybe this info is not useful for you: I had the SR110 connected to the car steering wheels with my previous pioneer HU. When I changed to the F50BT, I wanted to keep that. The only way I found was through an IR reciver (Pioneer CA-R-IR.002), as the SR110 works wireless by Infra-red, and the HU remote control input is for cable. I can control volume, track, source switch and phone control (show the HU phone menu and in a call, accept/reject/hang up). When in AppRadio Mode, track buttons work as the HU track buttons, t
  6. For me, the two biggest issues in the F50BT are: - Not being able to use the GPS signal within AppRadio Mode. - AppRadio Mode can't not be seen in rear monitors I suppose this issues remain the same after the update, don't they?
  7. I choosed Google Play Music instead of Spotify after testing both of them because only the first one sent meta data when in Bluetooth audio mode. I did the test serveral months ago, so I don't know if spotify has changed its behaviour. Although It isn't perfect with google play music. Sometimes the metadata display get stack in a song and it doesn't change when the song change. I think it happens when the metadata has many characters but I'm not sure
  8. I think you need the Samsung original MHL 2.0 adapter (http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/ET-H10FAUWESTA ) I'm not sure because I have a S3, so better wait until someone with a S4 confirm this.
  9. ARLiberator is one of the two Android APPs that allows you to control any APP with the unit touchscreen. There are a lot of videos in youtube where you can see ARL working. For example, I uploaded one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3VfgmiZG5A - ARLiberator (http://appradioforums.com/index.php) : The developer seems to have stopped developing but in his forum, there's a lot of information. I think it works for the 8500 but not for the DA210 - AppRadio Unchained (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451980): For what I've read, it seems to work better with all the AppRadio
  10. The HU doesn't send appradio mode signal to the rear zone. I tried splitting the HDMI signal in two. One of them to the HU hdmi input and the other one, to a HDMI-RCA converter, then to one of the two Aux RCA HU inputs. Doing this, I could watch videos in rear zone (converted to RCA, so less quality), but the AppRadio Mode in the HU screen showed horizontal bars and my app to control the phone (ARLiberator in Android) didn't work, so I had to discard the solution. Refering to the sd card videos, I've only been able to play videos that I had previously converted to PSP and iPod. So, very l
  11. If I play music from Spotify it doesn't show metadata info, but if the player is Google Play Music or the built-in Android music player, it does. My HU is different (AVIC-F50BT), so maybe this answer does't help you
  12. I have the european equivalent to the Z150BH. If you want to watch high quality videos in the HU screen. You can play your phone videos in the AppRadio Mode. If you want to watch videos in the rear monitors, there is a no very expensive option. I have installed a raspberry pi with xbmc to use as media center. I uploaded a video showing it. You can watch in this post: http://appradioforums.com/Thread-Pioneer-Avic-F50BT-ARLiberator-Raspberry-Pi
  13. For the sgs3 you need the original Samsung MHL adapter. There's a lot of information in ARLiberator's forums
  14. You have two options: - Limited apps control. Using pioneer stock app (AppRadio) you can control some apps like Waze, Maps .... - Full phone control. Using ARLiberator app you can control your phone from the Avic. The mobile has to be rooted and depending on the model, it could need more things to get it work. There is a forum dedicated to this app.
  15. I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the android version or the device because I haven't read any post of anyone who get GPS signal from the HU (maybe people without problems don't post on forums) And although ARL is not fully functional, I use Waze everyday with very few problems. Once you realize what things you can do that not force ARL to disconnect is just to get used to them.
