  1. I put in a D3 in my Saab a couple of months ago, but was too lazy to hook up my Seimens Bluetooth kit when i was doing the initital install, so I plan on opening it back up and doing it this weekend. With the stock head unit the radio had a mute connection, as well as two wires for the audio input, and during the call the radio would mute and display "telephone", while piping through the audio from the kit. Is there any way for me to do that on the D3? I know that there's the mute wire that will kill the audio, but how I go about dealing with the sound?
  2. Thanks for the reply. I was under the assumption that the screen should eject and the monitor would power on without the brain being connected so I didnt think that would be a factor. I'll look into that tomorrow morning.
  3. Just tried to turn it on for the 2nd time and it just won't go. I can hear the fan spin and the dvd spools up, but none of the lights on the faceplate turn on and the screen doesn't pop out (hitting the manual eject button does nothing). The car isn't even put back together yet. The first time I turned it on everything worked fine, so I proceeded to add the wiring for my xm tuner, and upon trying to turn it on with the xm tuner I get what I desribed above. I tried disconnecting all of the xm wiring but that does anything. Anybody have any ideas as to where I can start searching?
  4. Does anybody have any ideas about where I can hide the brains (and the xm module)? I know my car has a double din slot so I could have went with a d3, but I got an amazing deal on a brand new n3 for $500 and couldn't give it up. I've tried everything I can think of including under the front seats and behind the glovebox, but I just cna't find room. Any help would be appreciated. thanks, eric
  5. I've been researching the AVIC nav systems for a few days, but I can't seem to figure out concretely what I need to install the system. Is there any special dash kit, or will the system just cleanly go into (what I presume is) the standard double din opening where the current radio is. Also, as far as connectors do I need something like this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
