  1. I removed the parking brake wire from the connector on my Z1 about a year ago and need to put it back now to ground it for the bypass. Does anyone know which pin on the connector the light green parking brake wire goes in?
  2. A few more things I noticed... I have to crank the engine at the Pioneer start up screen to get the buttons active. If I wait until the unit completely boots up and get to the map menu for example, then crank the engine (and the unit reboots) those buttons are greyed out. The parking brake is always off when I go to the hardware connections menu if the other buttons are active or not.
  3. If I let the unit boot up then start the engine it does reboot itself.... also I bought the circuit on July 8 and do not remember seeing a white dot on it.
  4. I have a unit made before June 06 (think it is May but definetly before June). I have read alot of posts about greyed out buttons and the the tests to do on Ducati Boys website. The unit is on a '94 Corvette. The problem is I only get full access to the menu buttons if I turn the ignition on and let the AVIC start up, then turn the key all the way to start the car. The buttons will remain accessible while driving. If I start the car immedietly those buttons are greyed out and remain greyed out even after coming to a stop. I am 99.9% sure I have the ducati circuit hooked up right.
  5. On my Z1 Sirius sounds like a halfway decent mp3, not something I'd want to listen to but its better than nothing. XM however sounds so bad I get a headache and this is with a "very strong signal". The term I've heard before is it sounds like its coming out of a tin can which is a good description to me.
  6. Is it a no no to connect the power wire from the XM unit to the power wire going to an amp on the amp itself? Seems like the XM shouldn't drain that much voltage... Is this ok to do but cheesy or is it really unsafe?
  7. I just installed my Z1 and had that message pop up as I was changing the position of the gps unit. Hopefully this doesn't require a full system reset.
