I just got this installed two days ago and was wondering the same exact thing...honestly I would be in love with this unit if I could somehow get a custom background on it. The interface of this unit is the only thing that turns me off on it..

Hey everyone, I'm new here getting my AVIC-D3 installed tomorrow. I am looking for a pontiac background, something that looks like would be on a factory unit when loading up. Black background with pontiac symbol in the center (possibly "driving excitement" below it in the correct font) or the GM logo in the top left and "Loading" in the bottom right.
