  1. Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help answer a couple of questions for me. I currently have a D3 installed in my Wrangler Unlimited with the proper dash kit and wiring harness to hook up to the upgraded speaker/sub system that came with the car. I was wondering if I would need anything new at all if I replaced the D3 with the new X920BT? Would the same wiring harness and dash kit work with the new unit? Also, this means I will have a spare D3 (it is bypassed to obtain all functionality while in drive), if anyone is interested in purchasing send me an offer. Thanks in advan

  4. The more I look at it, the more it looks like the wire may not even be stripped. Do you just stick the black wire through the tap and close it, and it will go through the wire coating itself?
  5. Thank you! But, can you explain how it works? How do you strip the black wire in the middle of it, rather than at the end? And then you just run the black part on the bottom part of the wire tap, and the other wire in the top part of the wire tap?
  6. Does anyone have pictures of using wiretaps to connect the ground wire, parking brake wire, and mute wire for the bypass? Im not quite sure how to use wiretaps and pictures would be very helpful. Thanks so much!
  7. Your good. The harness should be here on Wed. Fingers crossed this weekend, and I may actually make this work!
  8. Ok. The manual says that the two options are 1. Tuner - Extends the antenna only for the Radio source. The antenna is stored when the source is switched to another source. and 2. Power - Extends the antenna when the ignition switch is turned on. The antenna is stored when the ignition switch is turned off. So, if I set it on the "Power" option, it would turn the amp on when I turn my car on, and then turn it off when I turn the car off?
  9. But there would be no way to take the extra bit of pink cable that I have and put a metal piece on the end of it like the other wires on the rca cable, and then place that in the blue/white wire's place?
  10. How would you go about changing the auto antenna setting?
  11. I noticed you said I should use the Blue/White wire for Amp turn on. I looked at the Flash override tutorial and it seems that my power chord does not have the blue/white wire. Do you know any way that I could put a wire in that will fit into the white end with the clips? Or is there another wire on that chord already that would not be used that I could move to the location the blue/white wire should be at? Thanks for the help!
  12. I have another question. I am planning on hooking up the SIR-PNR2 with the D3 and was wondering if I could unplug the antenna from the factory radio and plug it into the SIR-PNR2 thus keeping my current free year of Sirius. If this is possible, which of the cables is the correct one (look at pictures). I took the dash apart and pulled out the factory radio and noticed that it looks like two antennas are connected to the back (not sure which is the Sirius). Other than that, still waiting on the CHTO-03 to come in so I can get started.
  13. I have read posts by others on the JKboard and JK forum that they have installed the D3 into a Wrangler Unlimited. It requires the cutting of one plastic piece in the back of the dash.
  14. Thanks so much for that info! Sorry about the pictures, Im new to this. I am kind of confused on how I will hook all those wires to the CHTO-03. I have not received it yet, but judging by the picture online (http://www.installer.com/photos/chto-03s.jpg), I would hook up the end that was in the factory unit into one end of the harness and then use the rca males to hook into the D3 rcas. Where would all the other wires connect?
  15. I have decided I am going to take the challenge and try to install the D3 myself and was hoping some of you out there could help me with some questions. First, I bought my D3 used and I was wondering if the power cable has been modified. It looks like some wires have been cut and something has been added on the end (see pictures below). Second, from looking at the installation guide online, I think I will only need to attach these wires: Yellow, Red, Orange/White, Black, Pink, Light Green, and maybe Violet/White (I think this only necessary for rear-view camera). All the speakers
