fitted the avic-hd3 back into my car after whaiting 3 days for the super epoxy to cure all good working like new thank you garrettoomey for the pointer for using epoxy as i had some on the garage i saved buying a new gear track there

thanks for that garrettoomey, i bit the bullet, and had a go dis-assembling the unit, i used 2 part super epoxy zip tied to hold it into place i'll let it dry over night to be sure this is how the pioneer avic-hd3 fits in my car

Garrettoomey, do you glue on the white track onto the metal part?? As being in australia. It's very hard to get the part over here, only 1 online shop which i don't trust. If i can glue it back to operational instead of buying it i'll happy. Cheers dean

well my avic-hd3 gear track broke so i'm going to buy a new one, i scaled down the pictures from previous post as they where too big

doesn't matter i've worked it out guys i think i have to buy an ide - usb adapter is that right

i've being doing a bit of searching and i found out that the z3 has splash screen in the background settings but my avic-hd3 hasn't only av & nav i thought that the hd3 was the same as the z3 so does this me i have to connect the hdd to the pc

right i've got the hdd unlocked & burned background themes onto a cd-r. but as soon i take out the cd the avic can't store them only the ones i import from the cd, can someone please give me a step by step guide on how to download the BG pictures onto the hdd once it's connected to the pc cheers dean

hi guys i need help i've got the avic-hd3 which is your z3 i'm trying to copy the test disc file that i downloaded rom page 1 i'm using nero when i load it into the avic it comes up as cd-rom inserted nothing else how do i get an image file as when i try and open the file it opens in word but it can't open the file is not reconize i try and open the file to adobe reader still can't read file?? cheers dean

hi all, i'm new to this forum. from australia. i've just brought a pioneer avic-hd3, i would like to update the maps but they are not available from pioneer aus anymore for my unit i was told, my question is i have a sd card with the lastest maps installed on it can i download them onto a dvd disc then insert it into the hd3 just the maps not the OS it's got the lastest igo8 software. cheers dean
