  1. Thanks for all the replies, you guys are awesome! How about some help here.
  2. HI, I am using an Avic-Z140BH with my Ipod Touch 3rd Generation. It has IOS 5.1.1. I am able to listen to my music as an accessory when plugged in but I cannot access App Mode. I have the "AppRadio" app installed and the "Car Media Player" App installed. When I press the app mode button on my Avic it appears to do everything correctly but nothing shows up on the screen. Am I doing something wrong or is IOS 5.1.1 not compatible with my AVIC? Please help. Thanks, Steve
  3. Hi, I have a Z140bh. I know the max SD size is a 16gb card. Does anyone know what the size limitation is on a USB flash drive? I have a 64gb flash drive that has around 59gb of music on it. When I put it in the AVIC I am only seeing a small portion of my music folders. Is this because of a size limitation? Thanks, Steve
  4. All good. Made the connections correctly and I am up and running, thanks. Luckily I barely had to pull the head unit out to reach everything.
  5. I had my X850BT professionally installed. They would not do the parking break bypass. I don't want to watch DVD's while driving I want to scroll my SD folders and use full navigation controls. I decided after doing much research that I would put it on a switch (toggle) to turn on and off. Keep in mind that this was already installed so I did not want to pull my head unit. I took the green parking break wire going from the head unit to the parking break and I unhooked it from the parking break and attached it to the toggle and I grounded the other pin on the togge to the chassis. It works p
  6. Thak you for the replies. My last question is since I already insalled this I prefer to use the switch. I did try to just take the parking break green wire directly to ground by the parking break. This works until I start driving over 10-15 mph. If I do the switch (toggle) do I simply put the green parking break wire and the ground to the switch? Can the ground be coming directly from the chasis or does it have to be a ground on the radio harness? Why will the toggle work but not just grounding it. What is the differene? Thanks so much for all your help!
  7. VBLUE42, Thanks for the reply. I saw an old post about mofifying an .ini setiing and uploading that to the head unit. Does that still apply to the Avic-X850bt? If I ground the parking break wire from the HU at the parking break and then do this .ini trick will that work? Thanks, Steve
  8. Hi, This forum looks great and I plan on being a contributing member. I have a question. I have an Avic-x850bt that was professionally installed in my 2013 Mazda MX-5 Miata. I want to perform the Parking Break Bypass but I am hoping that I do not have to remove the HU to make it happen. The green wire has been secured to the parking break. Is there a way to simply remove this from the parking break and somehow perform the bypass without removing the HU? Thank you for all suggestions and feedback. Steve
