  1. Hello guys I have a pioneer z150bh and im loving it, I have added the playstation and a ipod for music and video what i need to know is that bright house networks allows you to stream your cable channels to your ipod via the bright house app similar to netflix i was wondering will this work just as netflix on the pioneer radio I dont have a netflix account so i have not streamed anything to my z150 as of yet
  2. The guy at Pioneer was a complete prick, but I did report that the audio/video resume on USB is broken and does not work. This is very annoying, and makes a large thumbdrive almost usless... Please post any other bugs here, so we can at least point these things out to Pioneer... I also learned that you can not revert back to 1.05 firmware.... Detailed explanation: When inserting a thumbrive on 1.05, it will read format, and then you can navigate to a folder, say a long audiobook, and start playing... Say you get to chapter 3, you turn off the car, and when you turn the car back
  3. Good night. Came to me a problem on my car radio. 4. Hey everyone what do you guys think of the AVH-x6500DVD. I am planning on buying it this week and really like the look and the fact that the screen comes out so I don't have to worry about getting it stolen when I leave the car. But other than what do you think of the specs and would it fit well in my 2005 chevy impala. I'm not great with the wiring and all that but I did put in my AVIC U310BT a few years ago so I'm gonna give this a shot. Anyone who currently own the x6500 or previously owned please provide your feedback. Thanks
  5. Pioneer UK just tweeted regarding the impending CarPlay update. Early August ETA. Fingers crossed. http://www.appradioworld.com/2014/07/pioneer-uk-says-carplay-update-likely-on.html
  6. Hi. I'm considering either a 4000 or 8000 to add to my 2004 Honda CRV. The CRV does not have have steering wheel controls built in. So I may need to add them. But... How useful are steering wheel controls with a NEX receiver? Must have? Nice to have? Not really necessary? What is your opinion. Thanks, Dan. p.s. The CRV is a dingy (towed) vehicle that we bought seven weeks ago in a combo-deal with our new (to us) RV. It's in good condition, but it's pretty basic with no steering wheel controls. I'm wrestling with whether to invest in an extensive electronics syste
  7. I'm looking for a replacement Pioneer AVIC-D3 navigation disc; or to download software: DVD Europe DVD Carte de l'europe - Version 1.0 CNDV-70DX (west). Disc got damaged (with deep scratch) when removing from unit, as got stuck with another disc in slot. I'd disconnected car battery to charge it; forgot I'd left CD in unit, so mistakenly inserted nav.disc to reset unit. I'm now getting this message: "route calculation was not possible." Can anyone have pity on me and rush me a copy or reliable link to replace nav. disc? I'll be ever so grateful.
  8. So pioneer just posted this... http://t.co/7ZABy3oT5U Any thoughts??????
  9. Just found out from Pioneer Australia that they wont be introducing the NEX series to Australia. How annoying! I'm a relative novice in this area - but what are the pitfalls I need to be concerned about from buying a US model 8000 Nex and installing it in Australia? I''m guessing the US map is the biggest issue? How hard is it to load Australian maps? And will it be compatible with the mapping software on the NEX series? Thanks in advance ... H
  10. Pioneer Software Update Sirius Audio FIX SXV200V1 for Pioneer AXHX3600BHS & AVHX5600BHS How To Fix No Sirius Audio Error on Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS and SXV200V1 Software Update So on Some of the New Pioneer we are having an issue with the audio on the add on Sirius/XM Tuner Disappearing. All other audio sources work fine except the Sirius. Pioneer has an error in the software and all you need is a simple update, Most common simple error these days with most electronics comes back to the software codeing. The error also effects the AVH-X5600BHS as well. So we did a simple software
  11. I have a Avic-f940bt and tried the new update with map updates.. But i've done it several times and it still shows in the service info that the application version is 4.6 find it really wierd because the system says its completed everytime i try to update.. Anyone know a way to update it coorectly? Ive done it all those times with pioneer's own intructions...so i dont get why it doesn't change..
  12. Hoping someone here might be able to give me some advice because I am stumped. I have an Avic Z2 and I have the Pioneer GEX-P10XMT XM Receiver. Recently I have noticed that the left front speaker will drop out almost completely and it only happens when I am listening to XM. If I switch inputs to any other source the speaker works perfectly. Its really frustrating and i cannot figure out what the issue is. I have checked all connections and everything is well connected but I must have bad cable but I am not sure which one I would replace? If I hit a big bump or pothole sometimes the
  13. Its not available... YET, but hold the fort! I sent an email to their support team to ask if I was missing something in the setup and surprisingly got an email back the same day! They explained that Heads-Up is not available right now, but if they get enough interest it'll be put on a list of user-requested improvements. As a long-time boater who has used a variety of GPS units, Radars, and Loran... I got very used to Heads-Up directions on the screen. Most automotive GPS units also offer Heads-Up options, and I find it weird watching my travel on the screen go sideways, diagonal, or wh
  14. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and been able to resolve it. I have an iPhone 5 and Pioneer X950BH, installed in May of this year, and everything was working fine up to about a month ago. Now, the "rewind" and "fast-forward" buttons on the left strip are disabled, as well as the "play" and "pause" buttons on the screen itself, when I use the iPhone 5 as an iPod, either directly connected or via bluetooth. I went back to the installer, thinking it was a X950BH issue, but we were able to determine the issue is actually with the iPhone, because he used his iPhone
  15. http://youtu.be/IKOoZTZ1HT4 BYPASS AT YOUR OWN RISK! We have confirmed this bypass to work! It allows for navigation input and video playback while the car is in motion! This is illegal in some states and this may void the warranty of your Navigation system! Move the mute wire over to the empty slot to the right or left, attach to ground with parking brake wire! If you have a question, please leave a comment..... we respond within 24 hours! Thanks for watching!

  17. So, I have a question. I had purchased an HTC ONE, and was wondering how does the audio get to the AppRadio deck? Is it through Bluetooth, or is it through the HDMI cable? I mean music audio not call audio.

  20. Good Afternoon to the East Coasters... I have the Pioneer AVIC-X940BT. What's the deal with the cheesy looking "birds eye view" look on the GPS Navi Display? I have a garmin in my other car and it looks much nicer with 2d/3d roads. How can i setup the AVIC-X940BT Navi so it can show 2D or 3D up mode. Looking at the display this way, while driving is driving me nuts. It would be nice to see it like this all the time. See Pic or link. CHESSY crappy birds eye view: http://www.sonicelec...VIC-X940BT.html This is the view I want: http://www.ecoustics...car-navigation/
  21. On 11-7-12 some ass-h%#* stole my avic-n4,ipod touch,ashtray,2 wireless headphones,12" kicker cvr's in a sub-box,and a money order in the middle of the night. I personally believe it was my neighbors who i recently found out are big time theives. The other day I found about 4 sensor tags and a clear dvd security case on the street in front of their house. My husband is livid!!!!! He's been setting traps to see if they take the bait. Oh yeah, and no they didn't get the wires or brain, antennas,xm,hd radio, ipod cord, ipod adapter, amp, sirius, dvd changer,flip-down or headr
  22. Although I think I know a little about how the AVIC works, I confess to complete ignorance about the licensing of map. A view confirmed by my current inability to get 2011Q4 Navteq or Tomtom (TeleAtlas) maps to work on my UK F900BT despite having scanned the forum for help. Mind you not knowing what I am looking for doesn’t help. As I understand it, Pioneer provides a licence to run the Pioneer provided maps in a particular area. However to run other maps you need: a generic IGO worldwide licence a Pioneer licence specific to the maps that you want to us
  23. Ok got my rear view camera to work... kinda..... If anyone had suggestions or knows the fix I would be really thankful!
  24. Hey guys, from what I have been able to find online there this is a common problem. When I give the appradio power it starts to load and gets stuck on the pioneer boot logo, I have tried putting the new update (2.45) on an sd card but same thing keeps happening. I called pioneer and they will not honor the warranty sicne i did not buy it from an authorized dealer. Is there any tips on how I can get the system to load.
  25. Well sort of, yes you can have GPS in your AVHP4000DVD unit or any AVH series that has RCA input (red, white, yellow plugs). First I used Nokia 5800 XM and then wife's N8. Both work great. Used garmin mobile xt but didnt like it. Then bought Sygic for $30 CAD and it was so much better. You can hear the gps instructions and routing from car speakers and you can still play music/radio and have the GPS run in your background (no sound for gps then). I liked this unit till I sold it and got avic-x920bt. The bad sides are no on screen input, wires are kinda dangling which makes it look sort
