  1. Today I drove to work listening to HD Radio (worth the price of upgrade from 5000>6100!), and got frustrated that holding down the L or R button on my steering wheel did not go to previous or next stations. I thought for sure something was broken. So I switched to USB1/2 and found that tapping the L or R button worked fine going to previous or next song. So out of curiosity I switched back to HD Radio and tried tapping the L or R button to see if a miracle happened. Low and behold, yes, it worked! No change was made to the PAD RP4-HD11. Nada. Zilch. Since moving to the 6
  2. Hi. I'm considering either a 4000 or 8000 to add to my 2004 Honda CRV. The CRV does not have have steering wheel controls built in. So I may need to add them. But... How useful are steering wheel controls with a NEX receiver? Must have? Nice to have? Not really necessary? What is your opinion. Thanks, Dan. p.s. The CRV is a dingy (towed) vehicle that we bought seven weeks ago in a combo-deal with our new (to us) RV. It's in good condition, but it's pretty basic with no steering wheel controls. I'm wrestling with whether to invest in an extensive electronics syste
  3. Has anyone found a steering wheel control that will trigger Siri? I know I can press the middle button on the unit, but it would be even nicer if I could keep my hands on the wheel. I have the AVH-4000NEX installed in my 2007 Jeep Patriot with the PAC RP4-CH11 adapter. I know how to customize which of my steering wheel controls map to which wired remote setting, but none of the ones I tried seemed to work. Here's a list of the wired remote signals the adapter can send to the unit: Volume + —Works Volume - —Works Mute —Didn't test Preset
  4. Ok so I just installed a multifunction steering wheel in my car and for all intents and purposes it can be considered a 2003 Jetta with a Pioneer X940BT. I used the PAC SWI-CP5 module here: http://www.pac-audio.com/productDetails.aspx?ProductId=1200&CategoryID=29 Installation and programming was pretty easy, I got the volume+/- and seek +/- working. Everything works BUT, about 20-40% of the time pressing a button will do absolutely nothing on the radio. It seems like the PAC module is getting hung up or something. For VWs there is a tool called VCDS that allows you to do all so
  5. Hey everyone, first post here, wanted to let you guys know about a problem i'm having with the Pioneer AVH-X3500BHS i bought and installed in my girlfriends 2012 Subaru outback. I bought the unit at a local shop after doing lots of research, and when we got the car back from the shop with the unit installed, we were very happy with it. The menus were a little tricky at first but we got used to them quickly and are extremely happy with all features of the radio. Unfortunately we were having an issue with the satellite portion of the radio. I purchased and properly installed the recommend
  6. I have read a lot but I am still doubting between the two versions Appradio. I will do the installation in a new Nissan Micra with an iPhone 4 already jailbreaked. I want to use the Appradio to listen my music and podcast. I need a good handsfree set and occasionally will need GPS capability. I don't want to loose the steering wheel remote functionality and plan to install a backup camera. Which backup camera will fit with the Appradio? Do I need to buy the Pioneer retail accesory? For the wheel steering interface, do I need a special cable set? Â I see this one http://www.emssiweb.co
  7. I have a 2012 jeep wrangler unlimited and I had a 120 with pac adapter professionally installed and they can't get the phone or vr buttons on the steering wheel to work. Is there anyone who has had success with this? Should I be using a different harness? Thanks
