We would like to encourage you to backup your AVIC Internal SD Card and its NOR Flash. Lets also keep all backup links and discussion here NEVER ENTER COPY DEVICE MODE, YOU WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE! The following will show you how to do that: 1. Backup your current BSP and Nor Flash. A. Download the attached NORFlashBackup.zip B. Extract the contents to a FAT32 or NTFS USB Stick. C. Insert the USB Stick to USB Port 1 on the device. D. Follow
  2. Hi, I just installed a Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX. Since the backup camera didn't come on when I put the car in reverse, I did some changes in settings. However, now when I start the car all I see is a black screen when in drive and park or the reverse camera when in reverse. This is brutal. How can I get back to the main menu and fix this issue? I tried pressing and holding each button and also pressing on the screen but nothing worked so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
  3. Hi, I will get my 8200 this weekend and thought, it would be a good idea to have a backup of the internal SD card. Is this possible with the DEV MOD ? I thought, I saw some script here for the x200 series, but I am no more able to find it. Thanks in advance for your answer !!

  5. Hi Does anyone have an Australian F940BT backup they can send me as my system has died after trying to perform the "AVIC-F940BT_FW-Update_v4.600". When I performed the update I did the following; Began with - AVICZ110 (folder)and TESTMODE.key System Comm Write - SD 8.05 System stated - Processed and Completed Then System stated - Erasing - Completed cs err Screen stayed in "test mode" for about 1 hour then shut down by itself. My system will not reboot and now has a black screen only with no lights to the controls aswell. I obviously could not update Bluetooth Firmw
  6. I've got a weird backup camera issue with my 8200. Everything was professionally installed, and generally works well, but my backup camera only works intermittently. When I put the vehicle into reverse, the head unit will change to the reverse camera view, but about 50% of the time, it'll be a blank screen, and 50% of the time it'll be the camera feed. Sometimes while I'm backing up, the screen will either switch from the feed to a blank screen, or from a blank screen back to the feed. Other times, it'll stay blank the entire time I'm backing up, or show the feed the entire

  9. Hi i been following this site since i had my Pioneer 4000 nex new about 2 years ago one day i got the software firmware error and had to send to pioneer to repair. Now i have sold that right after repair and got a new 4100 nex. my question is what should or can i do to prepare for the error on this unit or what can i do to prevent it. i'm good at taking radios apart and sd card removal would not be an issue. i have read that pioneer uses a cheap internal sd card that may be the cause of the issue. should i just replace now before i install in my truck. Just looking to avoid a future headache.

  11. Hello all - first post. Recently my backup camera began acting strangely. The symptom is that the camera will come on when I enter reverse, but when I shift to drive the camera stays on. This worked for almost a year perfectly before this new symptom. Also, tell tale signs that something has changed - This seemed (keyword) to occur when Android Auto required an very recent update on the phone side. I know the two aren't technically connected, but it is coincidental. BTW - all this happened in the last 30 days or so. The screen on the backup camera used to be just the view of the came

  13. I am busy with several projects and working with the AVIC-Z150BH and AVIC-X850BT units and every time I switch units in the same vehicle, i.e. remove power, I go through the task of resetting all my presets on AM, FM, and SiriusXM (special HD1-4 stations on the Z150BH), et al, and want to know if anyone is backing these up through Service Mode (a.k.a. test mode). I'm guessing all the WinCE based units are fairly similar. Any help or information is appreciated. Thanks.
  14. Okay so i am Brand new to this forum, and it has been incredibly helpful so far. But finally i am stumped. I got my reverse camera in the other day and installed it exactly how i am suppose to. Oh by the way, i have an AVIC-Z130BT The hot wire is run to a constant 12V The ground wire is Grounded properly The video cable is run to the rearview camera plug (the brown one) And then there is a wire that turns to a hot 12V when the truck is in reverse, well this wire is run to the back of the unit to the reverse gear signal input. Butttt it won't work? I have checked EVERYTHING with a m

  16. Hello all, Having trouble with the backup cam. When shifting to reverse, the screen switches to the backup screen fine...then the darn Caution image may be reversed pops up and blacks out the camera. Annoying. Cant figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  17. Hi, I bought a used car with a F9310BT which seems to be the Volkswagen version of the F930BT. I want to do a complete backup and was looking for a way to get into testmode/ service mode (is this the same?) I downloaded "Condi's HACKMODE v1.4 BASE - INSTALL VIA TESTMODE.zip" and was able to get into service mode and I can select files and folders, but I don't have a "COPY" button, see image: Any idea why? Thanks for any hints, Oliver
  18. Hello people! I just registered due to a problem with my Avic F900BT. Generally pleased with the unit and havent had any major problems with it. Until i decided to install a rear-view camera. I got a simple wired camera and had it installed. Seemed to work for a day, but then it wouldnt switch to the camera view when i put it in reverse. Turns out the reverse gear valve/switch of the car had issues. So i changed it. Now what happens is that the unit always stays with the black screen with the notice about rear view images could be reversed. It works when i go to reverse, but i c

  20. I have an AVH-P8400BH installed in a 2008 Honda Civic EX Sedan. I have a cheap backup camera installed. I have the power for the camera wired to one of the reverse lights. I also have the trigger from the Head Unit wired to that reverse light. When I put the car in reverse, the head unit doesn't always switch to the backup camera view. I'm trying to determine if it's an issue with the Head Unit or with the camera/wiring. It seems to do it more when the car's been sitting in the sun all day, but sometimes it works after sitting and the sun and sometimes it doesn't work first thing in the m

  22. I only thought of this due to me actually requiring someone to upload an original pioneer AVIC-F9110BT with updates as my update from the Pioneer website failed, so it would be a good idea for people like me who diudnt know about this site beforehand and had not backed their old firmware up. GOOD IDEA??
