  1. I have an avic f90bt . when it powers up there is a black screen for about 10 seconds or so then it shuts down but the fan runs still. I bought it from a so called "friend" and i dont have the backup files for it. If anyone can help, it would save what sanity i have left because i drive a lot and with no music, I have already ran out of things to talk to myself about. LOL.
  2. I've got an f9bt running on v3, I tried updating to v4 (hybrid) but kept getting map install errors while the files were transferring to the radio. So I cancelled the transfer. The radio came back on fine except now the system startup in progress, please wait box is not going away. I can click on things and they seem to work fine, just the system startup box is always on the menu screen. Also when I click on maps just a pioneer logo comes up, no maps anymore. I'm new to the AVIC game so any help would be much appreciated. Please&Thanks!
  3. I have a F90BT in my car with a totally custom center console. I would like to modify the faceplate of the F90BT so that it matches and blends with the dash. Does anyone know how to (or where to find any instructions regarding how to) remove the shiny black plastic faceplate? I don't mind leaving all the buttons as is. I removed the four small screws that hold the faceplate to the unit and pressed in all of the visible tabs, but the face plate still won't come off.
  4. 5. My Sirius was working fine yesterday and when I went to leave work it said acquiring signal and didn't change. I called Sirius and had a signal sent to my car and it turned on for about 5 minutes and then stopped functioning again. I'm a little bit lost as to what might be going on. I didn't know if anyone else had an experience like this and if I need to possibly replace my Sirius box.
  6. I just downloaded and updated my AVIC-F90BT with software version 3.x. The file copying part went without a hitch. When I reset the system after file copy operation, I was prompted to select language. After I selected "English as my language, I was prompted to choose voice language. As soon as I selected English TTS, the system rebooted and since then stays not he Pioneer splash screen. It never goes further than the Pioneer logo. I have tried it several times and had no luck. I even deleted the partition and recreated it but still no luck. Please help....
  7. Hey everyone, so I've searched around the forums and read a bunch of posts before succumbing to writing one myself. I have a Pioneer F90bt that I've had for about 2 years. I have no mods or hacks to it, and about 2 months ago it randomly started rebooting itself constantly over 20 mph. I tried the update to 2.008, it updated successfully but it didn't help the rebooting issue. I downloaded the testmode files and the backup files onto 2 separate SD cards I inserted the sd card with the testmode files and it wouldn't go into testmode. I reformatted the sd card for both ms dos (FAT) and mac o
  8. Hey Guys, I've read through the reboot fixes and my issue seems to be a bit different. My unit will reboot at anytime, using the Pioneer map update (V3 update) sd card, testmode even the bootloader menu (menu+map+eject). I've disconnected everything possible that is not needed for bootup to make sure something else wasn't the issue. No luck. It just reboots all the time. I has been back to Pioneer 3 times and they always say there is nothing wrong with the unit. Strangely enough, the unit works fine for about 2 months after I get it back and starts acting up again. Any help would
