  1. I am just curious. I had an AVIC 5000NEX which I could never get mirroring to work even with $150.00 in cables (VGA+Lightning adapter). Almost sure that it was software related. Now I have the 7000NEX with HDMI and mirroring works perfect. I am a little bit afraid that when Pioneer rolls out the Car Play firmware update they might screw the mirroring up because I spoke to a Pioneer representative and they indicated that they don't officially support mirroring, just their "wonderful and intuitive" AppRadio mode.
  2. Hello everyone. I have a new AVIC 5000NEX, while I love my new investment I can't seem to get some things right. The message " Incompatible USB " appears when I connect my Iphone 5 to the USB 1 or USB 2 port. I also have the VGA (RGB) cable to get the AppRadio experience. I am able to get AppRadio and the supported apps but I get that message when I click on the USB icon on the screen. Any insights?
  3. I am running an 8000nex and an iPhone 5. I am experience sporadic BlueTooth connectivity issues, b/c it is auto pairing when I start the truck, but then in the middle of streaming music, my iPhone will stop streaming, and a warning message come up saying this accessory is not supported. I then have to go into settings and re-connect manually to my 8000nex BlueTooth. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? I have already reset network settings, and executed "forget this device" on my iPhone, as well as deleted my phone from my 8000nex BT devices. Any other solutions are welcome a
  4. For some reason when i receive a phone call the call shows up for a second on my Nex screen and then the system just shuts off. I'm usually connected on Digital adapter mode with bluetooth on my iPhone 5s running Appradio. When my screen shuts off I'm forced to answer the call using my steering wheel and my phone shows me who is calling like it normally does. Any ideas why this is happening? I would rather just answer calls using the Nex screen like I'm suppose to.
  5. I'm curious if anyone has any insight on this. I now have three devices setup to pair with my AVIC-8000; my phone, my wife's, and my son's phone. When you go to the bluetooth connections screen, it lists them in order, my phone occupies the #1 slot, my son's is in the #2 slot and then my wife is in the #3 slot. This reflects the order which I paired the devices. I always assumed that the order in the list would determine the priority which phone would be paired if all or two of them are present, but that appears to be not the case. After running some tests, I have found that sometimes m
  6. I have the 140 BH and started having issues with my IPOD, that I leave connected in the glovebox 24/7. In the past it would always keep the IPOD charged and it would start playing my music off the IPOD shortly after starting the truck, which is a 2000 F350. Lately if the truck sits for a couple days the IPOD is dead when I start the truck. It takes around ten minutes for it to get enough charge in it to work through the headunit. If I turn the truck off the battery symbol changes from charging to just running off the battery about 5 to 10 sec after shutting the truck off. Can someone please ve
  7. Hi I have just installed my app radio 2 SPH-DA100 but the iPhone is not being picked up, just a greyed out iPod, apps and pandora icon. I bought an iPhone with 'No service' just to leave in the glovebox and have everything is connected/installed, app radio, car media player. Its iOS 7.0.4 and the head unit is the latest version. Charging the phone is fine. Anyone know what could be causing this? Would try a reset on the head unit but it is always greyed out! Thanks in advance.
  8. Hi, Just purchased a Pioneer Appradio 2, installing it next week. I am planning on using an iPhone 4 for my ipod and hope to use one of the navigation apps too. Will I be able to listen to music on the ipod whilt using the app mode for my navigation? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  9. Hi, I've got a first generation Appradio (SPH DA01) and an iPhone 4S. Both are updated to the latest firmware version. Now the following happens and I was wondering if any of you experiences these kind of problems too. When I connect my phone to the radio the 'Apps' icon lightens up as it should be. After pressing that button, I start the Appradio app on my phone and the list of supported apps appears. Then I open a certain app (Maps or contacts for example). So far everything works as it should. But when I return to the main menu to change radio station for example and then want t
  10. Hello all, I have an AVIC f940BT and an iPhone 3GS...I was willing touse the Musicsphere functionality therefore I downloaded the software from the Pioneer website and installed on my PC. SW seems to work fine but when I launch the analysis of the music library it ends up in "finding" only 3 song out of the 1700 I have. Strange is that the 3 songs then available for the playlist generation (that works) are the longest ones: one is 17mins the other two in the range of 40/50mins. The two longests are relaxation music, while the 17mins one is a standard track out of an album added all at o
  11. i want to switch av1 to ipod and video with out going into the settings this would let me play any video on my iphone like youtube, right now its a pain to switch it form the setting back and forth from av1 to ipod and video is there a way to a shortcut button
  12. Just wondering if anyone tried the beta's of iOS 7 on an iPhone 4s and if they then tried it with their appradio? Would love to know the result before i update to iOS 7 in the next week or two.
  13. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and been able to resolve it. I have an iPhone 5 and Pioneer X950BH, installed in May of this year, and everything was working fine up to about a month ago. Now, the "rewind" and "fast-forward" buttons on the left strip are disabled, as well as the "play" and "pause" buttons on the screen itself, when I use the iPhone 5 as an iPod, either directly connected or via bluetooth. I went back to the installer, thinking it was a X950BH issue, but we were able to determine the issue is actually with the iPhone, because he used his iPhone
  14. Had the Appradio for almost a month now and was just wondering what apps or what functions do you guys commonly use? The 3 apps that have been in heavy use in my car are MYPV, WAZE and EC TOUCH. But honestly my favorite is MYPV, its so cool how I can setup a youtube music video playlist on my phone and access them on the appradio. The playlist will sync to the radio and allow u to play videos back to back like a mix. You can setup multiple playlists and the videos start to play right away as if they were stored on the device, no buffering crap. Its awesome!!! Waze is great because its a nav ap
  15. Hey guys so Ive been posting a bit now that I finally own an Appradio 2 and i just need to let everyone know that I love it. Coupled with a Smartphone this thing can do just about anything. I think pioneer has taken car radio's to a whole new level and I can guarantee you that other manufacturers are taking notes and will soon follow. Its way far from a traditional HU and this thing has tons of potential. I am a Technical Analyst for Dell so to have a HU that can do mostly everything that I need is a blessing and a must!! Yes it has its glitches but I am willing to look past that and have fait
  16. Just installed this unit and seems to work great. However I noticed that the sound clips and sounds horrible if the volume is raised higher than 12. This ONLY happens when streaming music, or from the iPod or Pandora when connected to the system or streaming via Blue Tooth. When listen to the FM radio it does NOT do this.... Any idea why??? Thanks for the help!!
  17. Hello all, I have read about nine forums and am only looking for an answer to wether the appradio extensions will allow my iphone 5 to appear on my x930bt upgraded to x940bt software. I know i might need the lightening to vga and the pionneers vga to the deck adapters. Before I buy all that junk does anyone know wether this even works? Thanks for your time Joe
  18. Just a thread regarding the Pioneer AVH-8400BT and iphone 5/ IOS 6 Compatibility ive read many reviews and problems but they are all different some say it all works some say stuff does not work, with the 30 pin to lighning connector does sort some of the issues but not all. anyone got any advice or answers that could help me fix some of the faces issues or even guide me on when pioneer will have this fixed ?! any help and information guidance will be helpfull ! thank you
  19. i just received iphone 5 and with this new lighting cable , we arent able to acess video files from iphone even after 30 pin adapter is used. So i was wondering if anyone on this forum ever tried hooking up an apple tv to their navaigation unit? .. life would be much easier if that was possible..
  20. This forum is filled with questions regarding compatibility with this iPhone or that Android, and which Bluetooth versions. Meanwhile I can plug a 64gb SD card in the head unit that has all the music, video and album art I ever wanted. Why don't they just enhance the player functionality when using SD so it's not so brain dead? They certainly have the processing power but the player is less functional than a 10 year old version of WinAmp. Honestly if I could just load all my music and playlists on SD and access it via a decent and functional UI I'm not so sure I give a $&);/ about
  21. With a z110 as my base (upgraded to Z130), I am posting a list of my added equipment (commercial & custom) installs for my 2007 Camry. And because I work in corporate America, it is a must that a majority of my installs are stealth; you won't know what is in my car until I turn things on. From the outside, it looks like your typical Camry. Here are a few things that are inside: DTV that picks up over-the-air stations Hidden powered-antenna and modified DTV converter box IR sensor mounted to HU faceplate for remote control [*]Premium sound system Two highly efficient amps & su
  22. I'm using a iPhone 4s with the new firmware 5.1.1 with my x930bt. Never had this problem until after updating the phone. The physical buttons on the x930bt that should skip forward or backwards are not working when using the ipod feature. Doesn't matter if I'm using bluetooth or the physical cable. The buttons do work when using Pandora or iHeart radio...or any other music app, just not the iPod. When I press the the forward skip button when using the ipod feature, the cover art for that song flashes as if it is the next songs cover art loading, but it isn't. And it never skips to the next son
  23. Hey all, Last week I purchased and install the new Pioneer Appradio 2. I will start by saying I have very high hopes for this unit but at this time it is horrible. I'm hoping other owners will confirm that i'm not the only one that has these problems. Car: 2011 SUBARU WRX Phone: Droid Raxr iphone 4s Issues: 1. Screen will go black from time to time. Usually while listening to pandora and driving. Just goes black, music still plays. If I hit the volume the volume will display in the top left of the screen. This happens randomly and often. 2. Music constantly stops

  25. I've had my X920BT installed for over a year now and I've been hoping and praying for a solution that's never come... at least not through Pioneer. While I can hear people perfectly while speaking on handsfree, I get constant complaints that people can't hear me due to background noise. I have the noise cancellation on and I've moved my microphone around and seem to have it in the optimal place. Is there anything else I can do? Would a better quality microphone help? Any help would be appreciated.
