My Goal: To be able to use one of the USB Ports on the back for Carplay and the other for App Radio. I've just installed the 8100NEX in my car. I followed the install instructions and I'm not getting the results. My setup: USB 1: USB extension (included in box) to a lightning cable to the phone directly. Working fine for carplay. USB 2: Lightning cable paired with the HDMI both connected to the Apple AV adapter. So, Carplay works perfectly. but when connecting to the other lighting: nothing. Any help?

Hi Folks, I've ordered a 7000 to replace a 710 that was stolen, so this is the first time I've had to deal with a VSS connection as the 710 didn't require it. In searching the web for where to connect it (blue/white wire coming out of the PCM), I came across a couple of threads with debates on how to connect it, so thought I'd ask for input here. Is there a "correct" or "preferred" method for making the actual connection of the pink wire to the car's VSS wire? Hi, I purchased this unit used without any wire harnesses or sd card. After getting the rca and power harnesses, i finally hooked it up. It powers on, but the screen goes blank. So I figure I need the sd card with the firmware update, but I do not know which version is already on it. So I started with the latest version 4.0, however at 43% It gives me the error code "Code 112 Copying error:|StorageCard|LPUE080|APL2|iGo|ScanSoft|RealSpeakSolo|SPEECH|components|vf_nanna_r40_83swf11_110_..." can't see the rest. Hey everyone.Today i FINALLY got a chance to upgrade my AVH to an Avic z140BH. At first i tried to simply hook it up to the same power cord that I used for the AVH because it was already connected and fit the avic perfectly. For some reason I got a visual of the screen and was able to play with the functions but wasn't getting sound. so then I went through all the wires on the harness one by one and connected them to the new power cord. I hooked up my amps through the audio output cables and I heard music! here's my problem. After i heard the music, i went ahead and hooked up the gps antenna,

I wanted to update my electronics without replacing panels or spending a bunch of money, and it turned out pretty sweet. I'm sharing this in case anybody else is thinking about doing same. Went from stock CD / radio and wierd lilltle cassette player in the lower panel, to a 2 DIN Touchscreen Controller / Amp and a seperate, but integrated CD / Tuner / Amp - all without changing any stock dash panels. I got my x940bt installed in my Mercedes C230 at the local Best Buy - I know, not the best place but I figured it was a straight forward install. I had them install an inexpensive rearview camera, the Metra Axxess steering wheel controls, and Scosche VW03B wire harness. Of course it's still not wired up completely as there are several functions that are not accessable (greyed out) and the steering wheel controls don't work. I believe at least part of the problem is with the green ground wire. When that was firmly attached, all the functions looked available. However, what is concerning
