For those with the 8000 who have updated to CarPlay, are you able to pinch-to-zoom with Apple Maps? If so, how smooth is it? More generally, how responsive and smooth is it when scrolling through the various CarPlay screens?

Hi, I just recently moved to Germany (PCS'ed) and I have the x910bt, I would like to put European maps on it, but what cost will this come to the unit itself. Can I undo the mod's when I return stateside? and how well do the maps work I don't really want to have some half ass'd crap on there. I'm new to the AppRadio and I have been searching all morning trying to figure out what the pros and cons are to the AppRadio vs a AVH / AVIC unit with App Mode. Crutchfield has the AppRadio 3 w/ DVD and the AVH-X5500BHS for the same price. You seem to get so much more out of the AVH model, but why? Am i missing something? What is the real difference between a dedicated AppRadio vs an AVH model with AppMode? Are there features that may not work as well? As for Navigation, if the AppRadio uses the Apple Maps app, or other navigation app, what makes an AVIC unit better? I just t

Hi! I am sorry to be a DRAINER! but I really need help! I recently bought a z130, then paid to get it installed etc, and found that this a USA model! I have been on the hack/mods section, of this sight for ages, and have tried to follow some instruction (downloading 1 update then replacing folders with another update) and it's just not working. Unfortunately I am not all that tech savvy. Is anyone able to pretty please lay out for me exactly how to add Australian maps n my z130bt? once again sorry for being so tech-dumb! Jessica

Hi Everybody, I recently got a car with the F900 no Maps version in It and its slow and out of date. Is thee any way that i Can update the firmware to 3.0 and get some recent 2012/13 Maps Euro on It. I saw that theRe Were Instructions on this site But It was a bit confusing because i dont know anything about an avic and non of the links are working. If somebody could help me that Would be great!

Hello to all, I know that my Avic F900BT is not the latest model on the market but I hope that some of you can still help me to solve this damn problem. Suddenly it stopped working with the display stucked on the startup screen, in my case the Mercedes-Benz logo. The CD player still worked but without the ability to move between tracks. So I just got my X850BT and for some reason the maps aren't loading my current location. The best way I know how to explain it is it looks like its displaying the maps if you didn't have the Antenna plugged in. However I obviously do have it plugged in and it says my reception is good (5 Sats). When I went to look at it at BestBuy, it looked like the display model had like a "Demo" mode or something so you could still look at what the maps looked like. I feel like mine is still in that demo mode. Also I should mention that whenever the car is in motion, you can see the map moving around, but i

Hi, I just got an F500BT unit from a friend which has never been updated. I've been looking through the web but it seems that the maps from 2013 only exist for the 700BT models onwards. Hi everyone! I have not been on this site since the days of the pre release of the Avic F90BT. I still currently have it and it is running smooth with a few hickups. Recently the HD radio stalls, so I use the FM radio instead. Minor and just started a few weeks ago. No I am looking to upgrade the software and noticed a hybrid v4 floating around. I have an AVIC Z130 that I upgraded to Z140. Now when I do not have a destination set in the Navi no roads are displayed. I see a map and the GPS function seems to work fine, but no roads are displayed on the screen. If I set a destination then the Navi show the roads? Any ideas? I don't remember this being an issue before I upgraded to the Z140. I there anyway to downgrade the software back to the Z130? Can I manually install the software through "File Maintenance" or some other way? Is there away to reinstall the Z140 upgrade?

I need your help because I am either too lazy or too stupid to figure it out myself. I want someone to create a simple hack that I can load off a micro SD card that will enable me to run iGO (or Tom Tom or Garmin) maps for New Zealand with full sound and navigation features etc from my AVIC F940BT (Europe Model) Version 4.00. I have the iGO primo software and I have the map files and the F940BT but don't don't how to make them all play together (I can't figure out how to launch a new app?) . Hi everyone, I have a european (dutch) F320BT and when I look in the software info it says version 1.0. I've seen lots of posts now but none is clear about the following: 1) Can I update to version 2 or version 3? If so, how (without buying products or services from Pioneer) 2) I see a lot of mods says version 3 is needed, are there mods available for version 1 that I have? 3) If I were to buy the 2012 map update, does this automatically upgrade the software version? Is anyone able to help me, I purchased an F500BT from the USA and now I find I cannot install Australian maps or even upgrade the firmware with the expensive Pioneer s/ware, I am doing a custom install so I want to get everything right before I start the install. hio i was just wondering if anyone could help me with something. so i have a Pioneer AVIC-X930BT, the map system works fine on it however i dont like the fact that i cant search for places by postal code the same way i could on the Garmin GPS, what im wondering is if there is any way i can load garmin maps onto it instead of the crap p[ioneer is using. seccond question, i have done the bypass on my deck to use the deck while the vehicle is in motion. will the new 3.001 update dissable that bypass or will it still be ok? i heard there was a dissadvantage to the new update i just cant rememb

Hi, I recently bought a car that has the F900 in it but since i got the car i have not been able to get the maps working, it constantly thinks I'm in france (I'm currently in Essex in the UK) and cannot pick up my cars GPS, it can route to address fine but then routes from Paris?!? Any ideas on how to get this thing working? Im currently running Version 2.8 Maps 1.X

Hello, Thank you mods for all your effort in providing support to all AVIC users. I purchased a AVIC Z-1 about 2 years ago for my car back in India. After all the trouble I went through to buy it new, pay customs and install it, I realized that there are no maps for India that support AVIC. I was under the assumption that with time, there would be some support for this device in India. But, that never happened.
