  1. hi all. new install of AVH-4100NEX here. firmware was upgraded to 1.05. when i attempt to watch video from SD card i cannot get past the warning screen which asks me to engage-release-engage the parking brake. (see image.) i have the microbypass circuit installed so --i assume-- it is unable recognize that ive engaged the brake and thus the ÓK remains greyed out. 1. does anyone running old firmware (such as 1.03) encounter this problem? 2. might anyone have an old copy of the 1.03 firmware that they could link to? 2a. is it even possible to back rev the firmware on this unit?
  2. Just had an 8100NEX installed. I love it so far. I attempted to play a .mkv video file from an SD card. The video looked great, even at 1080p, however the 8100NEX unit said that the file did not contain an audio file. When I play the same file on any of my computers (mac) via VLC, the file appears to be flawless and of course has sound. What type of video file should I be using to play from an SD card? What type of Audio file is needed so that the 8100NEX will recognize it at play properly? Thanks in advance!
  3. So I formatted my USB drive that had my videos I copied from Youtube, converted online, ran through Handbrake with the settings below (im pretty sure the setting were the same) and loaded on my 64gb USB drive. Viola, the video worked great and so did the audio! It took me forever to find the settings for Handbreak that ACTUALLY worked. Handbreak settings that had worked on my AVIC z130bt. The person I found these setting from was using them on 930bt. Output settings, Container = mp4 file (no checks) Picture tab = Width 624 x (keep aspect ratio) Anamorphic = none Modulus =
  4. Just finished my install this weekend of an AVIC-8000NEX into my 2011 Traverse XL with Rear Seat Entertainment and Bose Sound. I got everything working and LOVE this deck, but I'm having one very annoying issue. I have loaded videos on an SD card and I play them to the rear seat entertainment system. This works fantastic and is so much easier than dealing with DVD's, but as soon as I plug in my iPhone (USB-1, carplay), the movie stops playing the the SD option in the source menu turns grey. Interestingly enough, if I'm playing music from the SD card and do the exact same thing, the mu
  5. Playing video with VGA adapter on my unit doesn't seem to be working. I have tried everything. I am able to get the useless AppRadio feature to work but then I press on Youtube/Netflix and/or any video on my phone it displays for a split second then it asks me to open the horrific AppRadio app. Any insights? I am going crazy with this. $150 in cable and I am only able to view the horrific AppRadio app? I have read of people using this adapter with other radios haven't had a problem. Maybe I have to reset the system or something? Any insights?
  6. I just finished updating my avid z140bh firmware to 4.6. The vga adapter (apple) is connected to both the vga cable and the lightning/usb cable. My iPhone 5 is connected via lightning connector to the vga adapter. When I try to view videos or use app radio apps like waze and carbrowser app the appradio screen on the z140bh is black but I can hear audio via car speakers. Bluetooth is working fine as well. The setting on the z10bh are as follows. App connection: iPhone, iPod connection settings: vga Can someone help me get video and appradio apps to display correctly?
  7. Hello, I have a Pioneer AVIC F700BT. I've had it since 2008, so it's getting pretty old. I have 2.0008 installed on it. Certain functions on the radio have stopped working. I don't know if this is because the radio is getting old, or maybe it needs to be updated. I can longer watch videos. This includes videos from a thumb drive, iPod, or SD card. Also, the voice commands feature no longer works. If I try holding down the volume button for voice commands, the system freezes up and restarts. If I try just muting the radio, it freezes. Is there anyway I can fix this? Thanks
  8. As the title suggests, I am looking to get the video that plays from a USB stick to play on the rear headrest monitors. I'm getting nothing at the moment. The videos are all properly formatted, they play on the head unit. Here is the goal: To get any video to play on the monitors that were not from the DVDs. I would like to keep a digital copy around (iPod, SD, USB), not having to keep a folder of DVDs that we have. I've googled around to no avail. Thanks for all the help.
  9. When attempting to play .mp4 videos from a microSD card, I get the message "files that cannot be play will be skipped". The video files are formated to h.264 video and AAC audio, as the manual suggests. Am i missing something?

  11. http://youtu.be/IKOoZTZ1HT4 BYPASS AT YOUR OWN RISK! We have confirmed this bypass to work! It allows for navigation input and video playback while the car is in motion! This is illegal in some states and this may void the warranty of your Navigation system! Move the mute wire over to the empty slot to the right or left, attach to ground with parking brake wire! If you have a question, please leave a comment..... we respond within 24 hours! Thanks for watching!

Drop the Jpeg ypu wish to upload in the folder for the pioneer to locate and import. Follow the video its pretty simple.
  13. Hello Everybody, I am terribly sorry if this is adressed earlier, but i just got a new double HU for my (Daihatsu Cuore 2008+) haha you may laugh and stumbled upon a problem. When i insert an USB stick containing some mp3, jpg, wmv, avi and so on; it completly ignores the video files. What am i doing wrong? Even burned a dvd, with some video files in the root. And a folder containing [OLDIES] with MP3's in it. When i insert it, i cannot select a video player or something. It just plays the music, and that's that. Pioneer seriously needs to look a bit better at functionality and user f
  14. Is there any way to have video from an SD/USB card to play and be sent out through the video out source (basically to my headrest monitors).
  15. Hi all, I am new to this forum but I had to jump on based on my new purchase. Im gettign ready to travel across the US from Virginia to California and I just had a new Z140BH installed. Here is what is going on: 1. Installer informed me that he would bypass to allow me to watch video on my trip - I trust him completely 2. message says parking brake lead improperly installed 3. DVD'd play when in park and in Drive ( seems that the bypass works) 4. after driving for a few minutes a warning message comes up and the video goes away 5. after slowing down for a red light the video ret
  16. Hi guys, I have just recently bought an Avic F-930BT head unit and started downloading music video's from usenet and came to the conclusion that not every file worked.. The error that I got was something that had to do with the resolution of the files. After a bit of googling, I found this site but none of the sollutions worked for me.. This led to a bit more googling (2 days:\) and after trying different types of software I finally found one that works. The name of the software is Divx Plus Converter, it does give the filenames a .divx extension and the proper Divx codecs. I've tried
  17. I know my iPhone 4s won't play video through the iPod cable but couldn't I buy a cable to connect to the av2 input (on the front of the unit)? If I connect a regular 3.5 mm cable to my iPhone, I can hear audio but what kind of cable do I need to watch video and audio from the iPod to the av2 input?
  18. After updating to iOS 5.1, video (movies, TV shows, etc) does not play (audio OK) in Nav mode (app mode plays video/audio fine). DVD plays OK with both Video/Audio working. My Z130 is bypassed. Has anyone experienced this? I wonder if Pioneer is aware of this and is looking into a fix? BT Firmware: 3.22 Service Info. Screen: Version 03.0000 Self installed with bypass hack. Cheers! James
  19. Every since I upgraded my iPhone 4 ti iOS 5, mt Avic x910 crashes when I try to play a video from my iPhone. I read that this could happen because of the new iOS 5 on the iPhone 4 but not sure. If this is the case, is there a work around? I wanna be able to play netflix and Pandora but am unsuccessful. Also, I recently got a replacement iPod cable as well so I dont know if that could be causing the isse. If there is no work arounds (and Im praying that there is), has anyone been able to play video from the iPhone in the AV2 jack (on the front of the unit)? What kind of cable would I need a
  20. I have the AVH-3200BT installed in my 03 350z. I have been using the usb and audio jack in the front of the player to play my music/videos off of my iphone 4 while I am driving. My question is, could I use a cable to connect my iphone 4 to the video/audio ports on the back of the unit and stream my iphone 4 screen to the dvd screen? Like could I use that and then use my gps on my iphone and see it on the AVH-3200bt, since it is hooked up through video on the back of the player?
  21. I have my Z120BT hacked (bypassed) so that it can play videos while the car is in motion. When I turn off the car while playing a video, why is it that the video doesn't continue playback when I start the car? This seems to work fine with audio.
