Hi All, I am having a really bizaar problem and I'm hoping someone here can help me out or point me in the right direction. All of a sudden this problem just started, when I start my car my headunit starts displaying the pioneer splash screen like normal, but after 1 second it just goes black. The wierdest part about this problem is that I can still opperate the headunit like normal, I can press on the screen and it responds to clicks even though the screen is black. All other buttons still work as well on the base of the unit, the only button that doesn't work is the CD release butt

It seems that the longer I search this forum and the more threads I read, the more confused that I get. I want to download a splash screen to my AVH-P4400BH. Can this even be done with non-navigation units? If so, what file type, image size and density or other parameters? I have seen folks post that everything from 3000x2000 to 400x240 are the correct size. Everyone can't be correct. Does it vary by part number? If so (or not) how should I size my file? Secondly, I cannot seem to find a set of instructions as to how to load the file. Do I just upload the file from a memory stick t

Hi folks, Please help me decide. 8400 has 800x480 resolution vs 480x240 of 4400. Will that make a lot of difference in screen display quality and DVD playback clarity? Additionally, 8400 has SD card slot, Mixtrax, advance app mode, dual zone audio/video, detachable face. 4400 does not. Mostly, I am tempted by the higher screen resolution. I will need to buy a kit to install it in my 2007 Honda CRV. On the other hand, this Custron unit has everying plus the necessary frame for CRV, and cheaper: http://www.autodvdgps.com/custron-t1070crv-aftermarket-dvd-gps-navi-headunit-update-blueto
