Been looking through this forum wanting to update the maps on the F500BT I found. Tried updating firmware using the FX3.1 rar file I found on a F500BT update post. Got into Blue Screen mode, and firmware appears to update ok "100% complete, please reset" however, would not reset. Held in reset button for 2 mintues, power button did nothing, pulled the plug and battery (perhaps my bad). Now it won't boot. Plugging it into lighter adapter causes the blue light to go on and stay on. Tried getting back into Blue Screen to go back to the 2.0 firmware found in the Avic Problem Solve -
I am looking for assistance in installing Aus maps into a USA sourced F500BT,I have legit Aus s/w upgrade and maps I am willing to pay someone to do the job or would be grateful for any advice

Hi, I just got an F500BT unit from a friend which has never been updated. I've been looking through the web but it seems that the maps from 2013 only exist for the 700BT models onwards. And if not, where could I find an updated (2013 or at least 2012) version of maps for the 500BT? I'm interested in both Europe and US maps. Thanks.

I already own an F10BT and 2 days ago after months of searching on eBay I bought a F500BT for my project car. I mentioned to my brother that it didn't include Post Code entry, and he said it probably just needed upgrading and would do it. It turns out he accidentally loaded the F900BT firmware onto the device, it would boot but kept saying 'System starting up please wait' To remove the firmware he entered the Service Menu and selected 'Format' so he could then install the correct firmware. Hey there, Recently ressurected this unit as it had a broken touchscreen. As far as I'm aware my unit is running the FX3.1 mod. S/W and Map versions as per the attached screenshots. The odd thing is that the UK map I'm using has a lot of blue areas - it's like I'm driving in the sea! Any ideas where to start on this?

Hi, I could use some help installing the F500BT in my 2007 Honda Accord EX Sedan. As of right now I have already connected the Audio Output to the Honda's factory radio using the Blitzsafe HON/AUX DMX V.2X Aux input adapter (since the radio does not come standard with an Aux input). For power I am using the DC 5V Vehicle power charger cable connected to my in-vehicle power port socket (a.k.a. Cigarette lighter). But I would like to power the F500BT with out using the Cigarette lighter socket. I believe (but I'm not certain) that I can use the Yellow Battery Cable for this purpose. The connecti

My screen on my f500bt has lost its touch (literatly) Does anyone know a fix for this? I saw the scratched screen DIY in the stickys but cant find the replacement screen. Has anyone done this before with a f500bt? Does anyone know the part number/where I can find a replacement screen? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
