Shadow_ice
If they want it that bad, let 'em have it. Pay $50 deductible for a new (and current if you happen to have a Z1 or Z2), and a new window. Not a bad deal for an upgraded unit with full warranty if you ask me... I like that.. 'Upgrade Insurance" Not at bad way to look at it.. Hey thefs. come and get mine.... Pleaaase... Where you live? Ill come take that off your hands. Just give me the new one when you get it and ill give you the old one back.
thomashohl
well, for starters, that was only effective back when radios were removed from behind. so when you soldered the razor blades to the sides and the thief reached under and grabbed it to yank it out, he pretty much would cut his fingers off. the other problem nowadays is that the thief could now sue you. as ridiculous as it sounds, it happens. if someone breaks into your house and gets hurt in the process they can actually sue your homeowners insurance because it happened on your property. this would also happen in this case especially since you did it to intentionally cause harm to someone That wouldn't happen here in Texas. We shoot first, make sure they are dead so they can't sue us, then ask questions Thats just how it is down here in Texas YALL...

Black6spdZ
I had two stereos stolen in the past.. so I made a nasty little note and taped it to the top of the third replacement.. the third theif left the ripped out unit in the seat after pulling it out. BTW "It is easier to pay my deductible than it is to pay a retainer fee for a lawyer." this is one reason the insurance and justice system in the US is so F&^%$ed. I for one save money on over insuring and WILL take acts of thievery aginst me personal and beat the living hell out of them.
casemods
that is complete bullshit how bad has the system failed us if someone can sue you if they hurt themselves for breaking into your house? break into house, fall down stairs = sue you? But if you shoot or kill the guy for trespassing, its ok?
