Concept Posted August 29, 2006 Report Share Posted August 29, 2006 I always have the address of where I need to go, so when using the nav to find a specific address, the thing is almost flawless. Another great feature is it's ability to let you drive the highways as much as possible and route you via local roads to avoid tolls...this is REALLY helpful here in Orlando, FL! I typically never use the vicinity search features on mine. I used it once to have it take me to Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure and the damn thing took me to their corporate office building instead of the damn theme park! I was pissed!! lol This was with the N1/40 software. I've since then upgraded to the N3/60 software so I'm not sure if this has been corrected or not. Other than that, I absolutely LOVE my AVIC-N1.
