nbehar
When you purchase the XM adapter for a avic-z1, do you get 3 months free like when you buy a car that comes with XM?
PaisanNYC
Only if you purchase the Pioneer GEX-P10XMT. But you get both XM Radio AND NavTraffic free for 3 months!
Pioneer Navigation with XM NavTraffic Promotion GET 3 MONTHS* FREE PLUS FREE ACTIVATION* FOR BOTH XM NAV TRAFFICâ„¢ AND XM RADIO WITH THE PURCHASE OF A PIONEER NAVIGATION (AVIC-Z1, AVIC-N3, OR AVIC-D2) AND AN XM NAV TRAFFICâ„¢ AND AUDIO TUNER (GEX-P10XMT).
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v ... 81,00.html
nbehar
is that the one that works with the z1?
PaisanNYC
Yes it is. If you read that small little paragraph that I quoted above, it says so. Here is an even smaller quote, to get the idea :) "....THE PURCHASE OF A PIONEER NAVIGATION (AVIC-Z1, AVIC-N3, OR AVIC-D2) AND AN XM NAV TRAFFICâ„¢ AND AUDIO TUNER (GEX-P10XMT)." nbehar
lol, sorry my boss sits like right next to me :(
PaisanNYC
its ok buddy :) and enjoy the free NavTraffic service. I hope you live in one of the 44 cities it serves. I love to hear the navigation tell me when there is traffic ahead of me here in NYC so I can go another route :)
executioner
If it doesnt work any better than the rest of the navigation, it will guide you to the closest log jam.
PaisanNYC
why are you even here if you are going to bash the Pio nav units?? NavTraffic has been dead on perfect for me and has saved me many hours of sitting in NY traffic :)
lludacrisboy
so if i do buy the xm radio and the Nav traffic and like it. Then i would buy the subscription. Does the subscription which i believe the price is 9 or 10 dollars a month does that include both the xm radio and the nav traffic? one low price of 10 dollars? PaisanNYC
No, if you simply want NavTraffic, it's 9.99/month. If you want both Satellite Radio Service PLUS NavTraffic it would be 16.98/month ($12.99 for radio plus discounted $3.99 for NavTraffic). I already was an XM Radio customer, so to me to add $3.99 for Navtraffic with all the driving and traffic I do around NYC, its definitely worth it for me.
