TriGem2k
Anyone have screen shots of the F90BT in day and night mode? What does the F90 look like in Day mode and Night mode? I installed my F90BT but nothing seems to happen when I turn on my headlights. I can't tell they difference between day mode and night mode. FYI I connected it to the same illumination as I had on my Avic-N2. Thanks, James
HiFiSi
http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15963 You need to adjust the brightness settings for lights on and lights off individually or you will not see a difference.
TriGem2k
Hmmm...How do I go about doing that?
HiFiSi
Did you go to the link I provided? Or did you download and look in the user's manual? Adjust the screen brightness, TURN ON YOUR HEADLIGHTS, then adjust the screen brightness again.
TriGem2k
Sorry I just realized you had a link. Totally had missed it. Thanks HiFi
Wulf
I hooked up the illum wire to my light switch and the screen dims ok when I turn my lights on. However... I have the day/night setting for the map display set to automatic but it shows the dark night mode map all the time, even when my lights are turned off. What am I missing here? HiFiSi
Do you have daytime running lights?
Wulf
It normally does but they can be disabled (which I did) by pulling a fuse so the headlight switch on the dash works normal. The fact that the head unit display dims makes me believe the wire is hooked up correctly. I tapped into the wire that controls the headlight relay.
