Al-Eds.com Update Email

Recommended Posts

Dear Valued AVICF90BT Customer,

I have been getting a few emails about any updates regarding the AVICF90BT. Pioneer has still not given us an ETA at this time. I am sorry for the delay and any inconvenience that this has caused.

I know Pioneer is working on getting a fix for the issues that people have brought to their attention, and they want to make sure that they get it handled before they ship more units out.

Also the Kenwood packages that we put together for the special deals are ending on Monday. I can ship those out at any time for you. The packages are as following:

DNX5120

KCABT200

KCAIP300V

Priced at $879.99 with coupon code 5120pkg

Regularly $1089.97 that's a $209.98 savings

DNX7120

KCABT200

KCAIP300V

Priced at $1189.99 with coupon code 7120pkg

Regularly $1489.96 that's a $299.98 savings

KCAIP300V

Priced at $1229.99 with coupon code 812pkg

Regularly $1539.98 that's a $309.99 savings

These packages are good until Monday. If any one wants to change their order please let me know either by phone or by email.

As soon as more info on the AVICF90BT is available I will pass on the info to everyone.

Thanks for hanging in there with us and again I am sorry for the delay.

Thanks

  • 2 weeks later...

Just wanted to ask anyone that ordered from AL-EDs (online or in store) if any of you have gotten your F series unit yet?

If not, have you received any updates from them on status of your orders?

I myself have not received it :( since the store at Ontario California had stated that they have not received any shipment yet from Pioneer.

nope. Pioneer hasn't finished (or maybe even started working on the update for all we know) yet.

Pioneer is going to let Al-Eds know when they are done and then we will get an update.

Stupid way to keep your customers informed, but for such a small company I can understand how they are unable to afford sending out a weekly profgress report on the fixes to customers.

Ouch....Diegosilang....werent you the one who organized the deal with Al-Eds and they didnt get you one of the first units....thats lame.

Yeah so sad :( . Actually they (Ontario store) offered me one of the first units but it was "buggy" so they gave me the option of keeping it and waiting for the so called "patch" or "update fix", or waiting for the second delivery of totally revamped units. So I opted for the second delivery.

Also after I wrote this post, (speaking of the devil), I received a call from Jason of the Al-Eds Ontario California store informing me that one of the Pioneer rep came by to their store and gave them the status or updates on the units.

He said that the Pioneer AVIC F units have 14 independent contractors that supplies parts for the said unit. And that if a patch or a fix is put in, Pioneer needs to have these different parts suppliers to coordinate with each other in order to get this unit working perfectly. It is a Pioneer brand in name but parts are from different independent companies. The Pioneer rep also stated that they are done and expects to have those units in Al-Eds hands in a week or a week and a half or so.

So the waiting continues. This unit better be worth the wait or I will be one of the first guys returning this for a refund.

So Al-Eds, if you are reading this post, an official update for your customers here in AVIC411.com would surely be appreciated.

Not surprising... that's how most electronics companies operate these days. Many of the smaller internal components are outsourced.

Hey guys,

The buyer for our company just finished meeting with the Pioneer Rep 30 minutes ago. The OFFICIAL word from Pioneer is "there is no official word, and no ETA" on the release of the AVIC-F series units. They are still being tested thoroughly, and will inform us as soon as the units have an ETA or are ready to ship. Once we have any new information we will get it to the AVIC411 community immediately.

woo...........hoo............ :x Thanks for trying though.

A "status" update is what most of us are looking for (and of course all of us also want a ETA). By Status, we would like to know if they have fixed any of the problems, half of the problems, all of the problems and in final tuning, etc.

Based off the non-exsitstent informaiton they are feeding us now they may have not fixed one single problem yet. At that rate the product might not come out for months and months.
