brisk
Hello, I have a SD card that I put in the 700BT and nothing shows up. I put a movie on it a MP4 format but nothing shows up. This SD card works fine everywhere else... Should there be a certain format the SD card should be? Thanks

HiFiSi
You 100% sure it was an MP4 file?
brisk
yup i used a ipod convertor to make it a mp4 file. video works through ipod but the same video does not through the sd card...
HiFiSi
That's odd. I can play MP4 files off of two different SD cards as well as off a USB thumb drive on my unit. Maybe you just have a bad card or there's something wrong with the SD card port on the unit... Try playing the same MP4 file(s) on a thumb drive using the USB input instead and see what happens. Also, try a different SD card if you can.
brisk
Will try that. It would suck if I have a bad SD port... Hate to remove all that and ........ahhhh Thanks!
HiFiSi
Well at least if it is bad, you know it'll be fixed for free under warranty. Assuming you bought it from an authorized dealer, that is.

brisk
nope i think i put it in after i started the car...
kurtcav337
i have to put mine in before i start the car in order for it to be recognized.. try that.
HiFiSi
That shouldn't make any difference. Or it's not supposed to anyway. It doesn't on mine.
gjas18
I had a similar problem. It was because the SD card I was using was in FAT16 format for some reason. Reformatted it to FAT32 and that fixed it and the unit recognizes it fine. It was odd considering considering that the manual said it was compatible. But can't argue with success...
