Newbie
So I'm gonna make this quick just to give some info out... I just installed the latest updated and there is some good news...and a little bad (but they admit to it). Cons: 1)STILL A LONG BOOTUP! And NO I don't wait a couple minutes for "my car to warm up"....who told you to do this? It's 100 degrees outside. Maybe in the winter. 2)Can't figure a way to make Apps like Pandora or AOL Radio to work. I would really like that....It would save ton's of $ on buying XM. Pro's: 1)VOICE DIALING (Yes, I mean "Call Bill Smith") does work!!!!! 2)Music in in order you left it...not alphabetical. 3)Bluetooth pics up phone pretty well (sorry I don't know about quality yet, but really, can it get worse?) 4)Video off iPhone works!! 5)Screen is noticeably brighter...I would honestly say 2x. 6)Touch screen might be slightly improved, but it takes about 5 mins to get everything fully loaded...Although it's usable after about 2. 7)VR catalog works well. It will catalog 12 gigs of music in about 2 min...then you can switch it off and it will remember it. I'm sure there are other improvements, but i just wanted to check a couple certain things. I would like to here opinions on BT call quality. I'm still unsure if I'm keeping my unit, but I have to say they fixed a lot of things in this update. Pioneer also wanted me to tell everyone "Thank you for being beta testers".
lemonhead
Call quality is MUCH better according to 2 people so far today. I've tested it with them every time I tried to adjust/fix the stupid thing and now they both said my voice was 100 times better.
Newbie
Anyone else's album art quality terrible when an iPhone is hooked up?
HiFiSi
2)Can't figure a way to make Apps like Pandora or AOL Radio to work. I would really like that....It would save ton's of $ on buying XM. Wouldn't both of those require that the unit have an internet connection? The only way I can think of that would work would be to use your cell phone as a modem, connected via bluetooth? Seem like if you can access windows you could make that work vut the unit would have to boot to windows rather than the normal GUI?
Newbie
I mean I would like the Apps to run on the iPhone(which they do currently), and the music to play thru the unit. Catch is, I would like to use the Pioneer iPod cord. 2)Can't figure a way to make Apps like Pandora or AOL Radio to work. I would really like that....It would save ton's of $ on buying XM. HiFiSi
^ I think I read somewhere on here that it did. But you can always try it yourself and see.
skicrave
I've been using Pandora through my 3G iPhone prior to the updated firmware. I haven't tried it since, but I have no reason to believe that it won't still work. To access it, connect your phone as you normally would, and let the unit start playing from the iPod. Then press the home button, select Pandora, and let it load up. The screen on the F-Series will remain on iPod control, but the audio will be from Pandora.

Newbie
Whoever said that doesn't know what they are talking about...I use the Poineer cable and it works great. No problems at all! Now if I can just get whatever that shows up on the iPhone to show up on the Poineer screen (mainly for Pandora/AOL Radio). 4)Video off iPhone works!! Which cable are you using? Apple AV cable? Lu Scola
If there was a way to display whatever is on the Iphone like internet, and other Iphone programs, then Id probably buy a F series. Also those who have had a D3, do you like the F series better. What are the pros and cons. Now theres been an update Im thinking about selling all 4 of my D3's and doing F series.
