Due to popular demand, I am adding an addtional service to the existing Z3 hard drives that I am currently selling here on Avic411.

If you do not want to purchase a new drive, but prefer to upgrade your exisitng hard drive (or insist on using an automotive grade drive) to the latest Z3 software and maps, I now have an upgrade option.

Do not trust just anyone with your hard drive. Please feel free to look around the forum or ask for references.

I will take your existing stock AVIC Z series hard drive, and upgrade it to a Z3 hard drive with 2012 Maps and updates from CNDV-1100HD.

I will unlock the drive, disable security, reimage the drive as a Z3, install the latest Maps, Grace Notes database, XM Channel Logos, and ship back to you(within 24 hours). I do my best for same day turn around, next day at the latest.

The headlight flashing bypass will no longer work.
The 2 wire bypass will still work with no additional software.

You can NOT add music directly to the new hard drive via PC. You must still load music using CDs.

Your AVIC Z will still operate the am/fm radio with the hard drive removed, as long as you put the cover back on the unit after removing the hard drive.

The price difference between saving and losing your music and address book settings is due to the license that I have to purchase in order to unlock the drive. I pay $5 to unlock and lose data, and $45 to unlock and save the data. If you are able to burn a cd, then follow the instructions in hacks section to unlock the drive for free.
