mcynet
I currently have a d3 can I just unplug the d3 an plug in the F900bt? I just ordered the F900BT It should be here this week, I just wanted to know what need to do the install. It looked like online the wiring is the same except on the bypass, I just need to move the mute wire I have grounded now in between the 2 ground wires. Is this correct or is there more I need to know?
HiFiSi
Yes. They have the same wiring harnesses. All you will have to do is relocate the mute wire from the D3's bypass pin location to the F's bypass pin location. http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15867 F-series bypass: http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15663

I purchased my unit and installed it in the parking lot lol. just my antenna wire was a real pain to get to
mcynet
I just installed w/ bypass works great The GPS was diffrent Itook a small screwdriver and pulled the tabs up on the d3 plug and removed it then did the same to the new gps plug I swaped the ends and it works great. HiFiSi
Yep. Like he said... the GPS antenna and cable are exactly the same for both units aside from the plastic connector on the end... all you have to do is swap out the small plastic connector/plug on the end of the D3's antenna cable and it will work with the F-series unit.
