maxlax
buying the 700bt or the 900bt for the same price you can get the 90bt uh....yeah i think we might all know that!
sirsilent
I have a Mustang with a Shaker 500 an I read somewhere that it is better to buy the 900bt if I want to use my Shaker amps because off the output. is that true?
Dmukya
The 90BT has the highest preamp voltages. You'll get a cleaner signal and have more fiddle room with the gain controls if you have the 90 versus the 900.
bobsyouruncle
Unless you are keeping the factory amps, which have no gain control. The factory ford amp's gain is hardwired for 2v preamp signal (factory head unit will actually max out at around 1.6 volts. hey the signal only has to travel about 2.5 feet). You don't want to feed them from 4v sources. Even with a 2v aftermarket source, you have to cut the SW levels way down to keep the factory amps from complaining. You are more than welcome to try, you may have better luck. I would not recommend it though. Those 8" door subs are not cheap to replace if you melt them. Correction, they are cheap, yet still expensive.
sirsilent
hm... the f90bt is cheaper because it includes the ipod cable, if I buy the f900bt I end up paying more than for the 90bt... that sucks...
CatchMeIfYouCan631
Wow Bob, that's crazy. I was gonna get my Fiance' the 90BT but I figured she'd never use the features that the 700 doesn't have, so we both got the 700. Lucky, since I completely overlooked the preamp voltage
