Just installed a f900bt into a 2003 Lexus GS300

Recommended Posts

I need information on where/how to find and install the latest firmware update for it via SD card. Thanks ahead of time to those who might be able to help out.

The F900bt is a pretty nice unit overall, definitely noted a lot of the same issues that several people had with it, but NO Lockups or Freezes...yet...

All functions work well and switch seamlessly from one to the to the other. Haven't figured out how to delete POI's Existing and Created...nor how to change to correct known conflicts or wrong information.

Bluetooth seems to work well and the mic sound pickup is decent, better than most systems I've tried yet. Mic was mounted on top of Steering column.

Speed Sense in ECU Box in Engine Bay, Reverse Lead in Driver's Kick, utilized the "pin hack" to bypass the brake(works great), found Switched + Power in a Plug going into a "Mystery Silver box" behind the Left Rear Seat for Power for the Backup Camera, GPS & Sat Attenna wires JUST barely made it up to the front console (wish I had mounted the attennas closer to the Left side of the Trunk Lid for more wire lead).

Had to bypass the Factory Amp located behind the Glove Box, to the right side of the changer...just used a plain old Toyota 2-Plug wire harness and extended the leads up to the center console.

USB Lead ran into the Center Console for IPOD and USB Drives.

The ONLY thing left...where and how to do the Firmware Update for this unit.

Total Install time was probably about 8 hours...including an hour of research online for vehicle-specific information.

Seriously? I'm not being an ass, but a factory firmware update is not a hack or a mod.
