BorisM
Here's something... http://forum.pocketnavigation.de/tid1073582-sid.htm If there are KMLs that list speedcamera attributes (speed/type/direction) in some kind of standard format, ity should be easy enough to convert them to CSV or TXT for importing into iGO. tmiles2246
For those with the Escort 9500i GPS radar detector, there is a new edition, the 9500ix. The 9500ix now has the capability to store red light and speed camera POI locations that are preloaded at the factory. If you own the first edition 9500i, you can send the unit into Escort to have it updated and POIs loaded. Comes with the 3-year subscription for uploading new POI locations onto the unit. I'm waiting for my updated unit to return this week from the factory with the new updates.
HackZ
Amazing.... Great Job now I can use My SD for more pointless stuff and songs. Now How to get a actual voice alert? "sits and ponders"
gjas18
Amazing.... Great Job now I can use My SD for more pointless stuff and songs. Now How to get a actual voice alert? "sits and ponders" All you should have to do is replace alert5 with a voice file with the delay of TTS, even if making it speak a warning was feasible, would make it useless
HackZ
Please Enplane a little more, I do not quite understand you.
gjas18
1. Create a folder called "audio" inside IGO8 folder 2. Put a wav file of your choice called !alert5.wav inside that folder 3. This wav will be used the new warning sound
VBLUE42
Have you tested this and does it work?
VBLUE42
There is no iGO8 folder so where do we put this audio folder. Also, upon further testing, I did get a beep sound while approaching the cam and the "barking dog". Anybody know how to get rid of the dog.
VBLUE42
Ok, so this file needs to be in the DATA.ZIP file. The correct path to install is in the audio folder at the top level of the DATA.ZIP file. Name your file !alert5.wav and replace the file of the same name thats there. No more barking dog. VBLUE42
Ok got this working now. And man does it give a hell of an alert. It actually startled me and I was expecting it. I have attached my alert file if any of you want to use it. I got it from www.poi-factory.com They have a slew of alert files to choose from. They are in mp3 so you will have to convert them to wav. !alert5.wav.zip
