The voices I found are for Tom Tom, and it looks like you add them to a sd on Tom Tom and then the navi Like Rnd that file some how. Has any one see this "picture below" or messed with it, It looks like pioneer gives us the option to add voices, We just need to get the right format of voice or something. HackZ
You go to main menu then settings then system settings and then language click on any of the 3 TTS things an there u go.
Bleargh
Apparently you can split the Tom Tom vif/chk files back into ogg files with a custom tool. Whether that's of any use to people hacking voices I couldn't say. The tool info is here: Download the latest version of VIFTool (http://www.ghostwheel.de/viftool) and use the split function using the following syntax: viftool split viffile.vif chkfile.chk (for example 'viftool split graeme.vif data99.chk')

BorisM
Somehow I doubt that just some OGG files will be useful for real TTS. It is far more complicated than that. Some googling for iGO TTS voices leads to more realistic possibilities, of no KITT... I am going to see what it takes to install them, but they are made up of multiple files none of which is either WAV or OGG...
schwartz1
the sound files can be previewed using www.videolan.org 's player VLC I can confirm they sound more human
skicrave
Have you actually been able to get the voices to run on your hardware? It may be different for non-TTS voices, but everything I've seen makes it look like we need to add configuration files that are specific to that voice in order for it to work. jdmeyes
Can anyone confirm this works? I'm real anxious to get KITT working in my car.
