D3 SOUND DONT WORK

Recommended Posts

i am having the same problem. everything else in the radio works like functionality and stuff.. but the interior speakers are not coming out. this normally happends to me when i park my car outside or the outside temperature is really hot.... the interior speakers shut off. but i have one amplifier hooked up to the subwoofer and the subwoofer has sounds. but the interior speaker which is hooked up to the radio wire has no sounds. I'm really frustrated with this problem too.... i have a base model 350z? what car do you have?

Any any suggestions or solutions from all you audio gurus out there will be appreciated. because this is really annoying....

just an update, sent it in for repair, came back said all was ok, no problems with the unit, hooked it back up no sound. After eliminated the HU, I went over the wiring all seemed ok. As I had replaced the from door speakers, I removed the panels and discovered one of the speaker connections was grounding out on the panel metal. Once I redid the connections and put padding insulation in, sound was back and all ok.

Months of frustration all from this :x

This is a very old topic.  I Recently bought a used D3 and installed it in my Jeep.  Instead of the old 12v is 12v system like in older cars, I had the canbus system found in most cars today.  that required a integration harness.  I ran into problems when the "drivers" door was not closed last...weird.  If is wasn't exact, you would get in the car, fire her up and No sound...  Sometimes I had to pull over, shut the car off, open the door close it, and fire up the jeep again....voila, sound.   I ended up changing the Metra harness with another from Axxcess and I've never had the problem again.
