elorent Posted September 29, 2008 Report Share Posted September 29, 2008 I upgraded over the weekend. The one bug it did not fix - the Menu button for the iPod. I was really hoping that it would be fixed. One thing that happened after the upgrade, every command I pressed caused a short burst of static through the speakers. Did not matter if I was in navi, music, or music off. I found that the button volume in nav settings was back up about mid level. Instead of a ding, it was just static. I lowered the volume to zero and the problem was fixed. I don't know of any other issues that may have or have not been resolved. My guess is they have not. If they don't collect the $ first, there is a chance that after they send out the first copy, someone may post it up on newsgroups or hijack their sales and start selling their own copies leaving the original purchaser holding the short end of the stick. Its funny that I see people who been lookin for the new 2008 Map update torrents FINALLY get their disc but yet will NOT give the rest of us a Torrent to upload but will post reviews about their updates... They changed some of the set-up on the backgrounds, frames, designs ans stuff. XM update is the station icons. They did add some extra to the map, like multi lane display and some other small things.
