Is the N3 able to do this?
On the N3. it is REAL easy! Put all of your custom backgrounds (resoultion is 500x240) in a folder named BG Burn this folder to a CD-R along with at least 100MB of data files to the root of the CD-R. (Must be data. I tried it originally with 100MB of MP3's and the headunit only recognized it as a mp3 music disc. I added a 100mb ZIP file to the CD along with the BG folder). cdw5510
So after I add files to CD in a folder called BG with 100 MB of non mp3 only data files, then when disc is inserted, where do I go from there and will they always remain on unit even after I remove disk from player... PaisanNYC
I am not 100% sure, but I think its under HARDWARE>DISPLAY. You can change the background there. When you do change the background, it will tell you not to power off the unit while it updates. When it is finished updating, you can remove the disc and the background will be there :)

lcaad1249
Is there a limit to the number of background you can have in the BG folder. I downloaded a bunch but only the first 20 or so are read.
