hey, i've had an n3 for a while now in my old car, and recently got it put into my new 06g35 sedan. I had it installed into a compartment with the cover mounted on top of the N3 blocking the day/nighttime sensor. I got into a dispute with the installer, they tried to overcharge me from what we agreed upon and i do not want to bring it back to them, and was wondering if you guys could help me find a way to fix this problem. I have taken the unit out and noticed that the Illumination wire was not plugged in. If i was to plug in this wire would it fix the day/night time problem? and i'll try to get pics up tomorrow to show you how my HU is mounted. thanks bobby

I doubt that will fix the problem. AFAIK that wire just sends the signal that the lights are on, which dims the display. It will still auto-dim when the external light source dims.
