Hello,

I have a AVIC-D1 and when I play MP3's on a CD the songs skip even when the car is completely stopped. If I play a regular store bought CD (WAV files), it plays fine. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!
This happens to me as well, anyone got any word?

This sounds like there is an issue with the disc you burnt. I've made plenty of MP3 CD's with no skipping at all (even with the bass up loud while driving). Try burning to a different brand of CD-R or using a different program. I always use Nero, burn the disc as an ISO, and have used Memorex and Verbatum discs with no problems.

I had the same problem, but not with the avic, just with a mp3 stereo (in fact, the one I replaced with the avic).

As already suggested, maybe try a different brand of CD's ... but what worked for me was burning the CD at a lower speed. The only way I could get them to play skip free was to burn them at 1x or 2x, nothing higher.
