gjin
I tried soldering the 2 points in back of the Unit, as well as use a circuit breaker pen to solder the 2 points.. I also taped a little peice of foil to make SURE the 2 points are making contact. The bypass is NOT working for me. I also grounded the parking break wire. My question is.. after soldering the 2 points.. do I need to reset the UNIT? If so, how do I go about doing this? (instructions) And will this get rid of the "Parking break is installed incorrectly" message everytime I start up the unit? Thanks.
adidascrazy1
Well if you take the silver sticker off of the bottom of the unit (which will void the warranty) and soder the 2 points you see together, then ground the Brake wire Light Green Wire) to the headunit, your dvd will work all the time. cntrylvr79
Have you tried pushing the reset button on the front of the unit? Grab a paperclip or ballpoint pen and push and hold the reset button down for about 10 seconds. That will reset the avic.
robtse
do u really have to hold it for 10 seconds or can i just press it until it shuts off and let go. bcs i have the same exact problem as the first post. did everything soder and foil trick grounded the parking brake and still nothing. accually it work for a little while and then went back to normal. wondering if i used the power wire off the n2 to the power wire off the stock radio harness rather then directly to the battery will it make a difference...? y does it work for like 10-20 mins and then all of a sudden has a improper connection message...?
