Hi all, I am new here and know its frustrating to find questions allready answered several times but i cant find it on here. I am trying to fit a slash screen pic from my SD card to fill the whole screen and when i fill the supposed highest size, it will not! it says 2592 1944 to be the largest size at 15 mg but when i do that, it leaves edges on the sides. can someone help? thanks JOHN

thanks for the tip. not sure why the avic screen states the parameters it does. you actually hel. pioneer doesnt! john

Well, they give you the maximum size for the pic it can take without choking. The optimal size is the native resolution of the screen which is, as per manual, 800*480...

Good question, I've tried several pics @ 800X480 and all look perfect. If you open the pic in a viewer such as Paint, does it look normal there? If so check the attributes to verify that it's still 800X480. Not sure how the attributes could change, the AVIC unit surley wouldn't do it, but that's the only reason I can think of that would cause the pic to be distorted.

I've made the image in PS myself and double checked the size multiple times and exported it to .jpg several time with different options.

It's not a big deal at all. It was more curiosity than anything. If it starts annoy me I can just play with sizes and figure out what works.
