WilliamG
Temperatures have gotten below -20F here in MN (some places saw -48F!). I've noticed that my touchscreen (F700BT) isn't responding well AT ALL these past cold days. Works for the first few presses, and has now given up unless I hit buttons 6 or 7 times. The physical buttons still work fine, as does voice dial etc etc. *sigh* I hope it warms up soon. Consider this a warning for anyone in extremely cold climes. The AVIC series is not for you. The manual says operating temps are 14F - 140F, and specifically mentions touchscreen issues below 14F. *bigger sigh*
blackh8552
NO touchscreen will work in your temps.. that exceeds the limitations of a lcd and touchpanel...

WilliamG
You should let your vehical warm up good inside before you start touching the screen!! I have, and it's still not working, sadly. And it's warmer today (reading 23F outside) and still no dice. I'm going to replace it today with a new F700. *sigh*

WilliamG
Must have been the unit I guess Or the fact that I tried to USE it in the extreme cold.
S4
NO touchscreen will work in your temps.. that exceeds the limitations of a lcd and touchpanel... That's true. I used to have a CarPC in my old GTI and when it got cold (even above 0F) touchscreen would not work right.

Well mine just hasn't been working for several days, even after the temperature went up to 20F, in a warm car, so... In any case, back up and running, firmware 2.0 installed, beeps removed etc etc, on the new unit.
