rjousuf
I currently have a z2 installed in my 2006 f150. The unit also includes, bluetooth, backup camera, steering wheel controls, mic, xm, and ipod connection. In order to replace the z2 with f90bt(nothing wrong with z2, just gonna put in diff vehicle) how much stuff from the z2 can be reused with f90bt? i mean can i keep the steering wheel controls, backup camera etc same or will they be replaced too or need different wiring? I can open the dash and take the z2 out myself but thats all i know, is it as simple as just taking the wires from z2 and hooking it to the back of f90bt? Please let me know thanks
mtnbiker717
As far as what you can leave, the back up camera and the XM unit, I have the F90bt as well, it comes with the ipod adapter and the bluetooth is integrated into the unit, kinda nice!
CamelTowing
GPS antenna can be saved. You just have to change the connector on the end
Camelot One
I'm not sure which of the Pac steering wheel interfaces the Z2 uses, but I was able to go from the D3 to the 900BT and reuse the same SWI-PS, no reprogramming needed. The only catch is that at the moment presets aren't supported on the F series, AFAIK everything else works just fine.
