Avic N2 upgrade to N3

Anyone know how to upgrade the hardware to get full function of XM and Ipod as described by someone selling his services on ebay. check out his ebay ad. I would realy like do this myself and not send my unit away. I allready did the bypass last year. I also need to download CNDV-60MP disks. any one know where they can be downloaded please post that info for everyone.

The ad says it includes new printed circuit board. I guess if you are fairly skilled with electronics you could attempt to do it and I am sure the part numbers you would need are in the service manual

Yeah, I have those and posted the difference in another post. Basically, it's a new microcontroller chip. The chip is around $50 (p/n in the other post), but is 77-pins and would require precision soldering skills to install (a hot air gun can remove the old one easily though).

If he's not replacing the chip and swapping out the whole mainboard, then he must get some massive discount on them. I don't have the p/n for the mainboard (it's not listed seperately), but I imagine it costs more than $300.
