~02DIME~
I have an 02 s10, I have all aftermarket amps running my mids, highs subs etc.... I'm installing the deck right now, hook it all up, my amps come on, my subs work but I can't hear any mids or highs. RCA's are good. I know this because if I turn my subs off and turn the volume all the way up I can hear my mids but there beyond quiet, alnmost like there muted, what do you guys think I can do to fix this? ~02DIME~
ok so a little bit of progress, when I hook a speaker up to the deck directly it works perfectly. Is there a step I'm missing with this thing when using external amps? a gain setting internally? anybody please, I haven't heard my system in two weeks, cause I've been waiting for this deck. I'm dyin here, lol
blackh8552
run the rca wires and a amp turn on wire from the headunit to the amp then from the amp to the speaker
~02DIME~
all my amps mids, highs subs etc... was working with my old deck, theres no problem with the wiring there, all i did for those was switch over my rcas and remote wire. this is really starting to piss me off, lol. subs work just fine but I'm getting fuck all to my mids and highs, I need to know if theres an amp cancel on these, a way to turn these outputs on, anything
another gsxr 1k
The only things I can think of off hand is to make sure you're using the amp trigger, and not the power antenna lead. And that you haven't hit the mute setting
~02DIME~
I used the amp trigger for sure, and i don't think its mute because if I hook a peaker directly up to the deck it works just fine, I just can't get any output from my 4-channel amp
skicrave
Did you connect the RCAs to the preouts (and not the audio inputs)? Is the HP crossover turned on under settings?
~02DIME~
where exactly is that, I'm really new to this unit, lol
skicrave
Settings -> AV Settings
~02DIME~
I looked under the settings I can't see any option for hp, any idea, I think your on the right track with this, my buddy has the D3 and he said he had to turn them on so I guess its a matter of finding them
jbeemon
Sounds like you hooked your amps up to the sub woofer RCAs on the back of the unit. Jim
