Pioneer CD changer -- can't play MP3s????

Recommended Posts

I was looking to get a CD changer for my D2, and filling it with MP3 cds labeled #-C, D-F, ect. ect., and folders with the artists, so it would be like having my iPod hooked up but with much easier control.

I thought I read somewhere that the Pioneer CD changers don't play MP3 cds like the D2 does? Is this true? Will I be able to set up folders and then read the folders with the track info if the CD is in the changer?

Also, do the changers have both an IP bus in and out? I have one item that already has only an IP bus out, so would I be able to hook up both somehow?
Years and years ago (at least five), they made some high-end changers with a p-bus in and out. Probably hard to find but you might look on ebay. Used 24 bit d/a converters too, unlike todays
Now that I think sbout it, didn't their 50 disc changers have and in and out? Or am I just losing my mind?
