Sorry to not to reply in spanish, but I think I can explain the situation for you:

Unfortunately, none of the two maps you talking about are compatible with

your unit(avic-f900bt). Reason: the first one, mexico_2008_10.fbl is for the newer

version of iGO(8.3.x.xxxxx), and the othe one - Mexico_2007.07_070815.fbl

is for the previous version of iGO(2006). That doesn't mean there isn't a

Mexico map for the AVIC series out there, we just didn't find it yet...

I hope you can understand or a translate this reply.

Depending for which version of iGO do you need the map; but as I already said

there is no Mexico map floating around for the Pioneer AVIC series. If I came over

an Mexico map, which will work with the AVIC series, you will find it here, or in your

inbox...

Hello guys I'm also interested in Mexico maps. I just go my F500-BT today and will install it over the weekend.

I'm pretty excited about it.

This is the first time ever I have a GPS and I like the multimedia feautures of this one and to b honest I bought it because the voice commands and having the device lets put the maps. If I'm not able to put Mexico maps. I won't use the GPS function, unless I visit the US with my car.

after the blablabla

I'll hack the unit as posted here: http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18460

I found a webpage https://www.naviextras.com, that sells maps and have Mexico one.

They have a PC software tool to download the file and sent it to the device (a device needs to be selected).

I'm wondering if I get a map for NAVON 350/450 (v8.0.x.y) will it work? Can I buy the map somewhere else?

Josue yo te puedo ayudar a traducir una vez que se consiga el mapa. Apenas acabo de adquirir un F500bt y lo instalaré probablemente el fin de semana.

saludos

Josue, thanks for the link, but there are some problems on the page;

my russian "knowledge" didn't help me thru. But I didn't give up, even

if there's a chance that the maps are for iGO 2006...

TlatoaniFer: To update thru naviextras.com, you need to have a supported

device or the retail software. Navon 350/450 is supported, so you can

purchase the map, if you want to. And yes, the 8.0.x.y version is what we

need for the Pioneer AVIC series. The price for the map should be in the

20-30$ range, if it's aviable standalone. Do not worry about the extras,

elevations, buildings, POI - I have them aviable. Do not hurry with the purchase,

because within a week or so maybe I can figure out something ...

And unfortunately, the map cannot be bought elsewhere...

If you purchase an official iGO 8.0 map, it should work with hacked EZRider on AVIC.

On the site with maps for download, it says that foreign traffic exceeds Russian currently (they have to pay for some data exchange across the border) so you need to look at their advertisers... :)

Find the text that says:

Ðажмите Ñюда, чтобы перейти

look at some ads, and you should be able to download the file...

ya descarge los mapas pero no los puedo hacer funcionar en mi avic-f900

se pude conectar el naviextras al avic-f900?

alguien sabe cual es el ezrider.exe y la license correcta para esto?

Or it could be iGO 2006 maps... The easiest way to figure out

what kind of map is: Open the map with notepad. If at the beginning

of the mapfile you see some latin text, that's an iGO 2006 map.

If not, go with the ezrider & licence hack.
