Dewski
I am expecting a few yells for not searching, but the 4 pages I looked at this question wasn't addressed. When you connect your phone to a AVIC-F90BT will it allow you to play audio through Bluetooth? I don't see any option through the AV Source section. I could be missing something, but the other Kenwood decks say "BT Audio" and I don't see any option here. I also have the 3.0 firmware so I am expecting it not to work right away, I might have to downgrade and suffer as a developer.
cmh928
BT is handled by a separate Parrot unit in the avic. There is no A2DP profile so it will never work regardless of avic firmware level.
bryanfeelsgood
Agreed. Even though the iPhone 3.0 firmware now sports an A2DP profile for BT Audio, if the head unit doesn't support that profile, you'll se S.O.L. As far as I understand it, the F90BT only support hands-free calling, which is a separate BT profile.
ghrays
My iPhone is connecting as a bt audio device with Avic D3. I had to re pair the connection a couple times before it worked. I streamed Pandora through BT. Still no phone book transfer, as far as I can tell. Curiously, my other car (MB 350E) transferred the contact list automatically. ms3Brendan
I have the F700bt and it has handsfree calling and when I go to play a voicemail it'll pause the music and play through the unit, is there a hack to get it to to play music from the iPhone to the unit? VBLUE42
The last Pioneer head unit that supported the BT audio profile was the D3. None of the F/X series support this profile and never will do to hardware limitations. You will need to step up to the Z110BT if you want that feature.
