shift_grind
couldn't find the anwser to this anywhere. I have a AVIC d3, and a set of 2 ohm JBL GTO components, is this ok or will it overheat the amp? the rears will be 4 ohms, so im not sure if that will help with overheating. I really dont want to wire an aftermarket amp to the headunit, but i would to use the speakers i have and if it works im sure ill get a little more volume out of them over 4 ohm speakers

jimmy 2 times
all pioneers are meant for 4 ohms........but with that being said, if we ever do an amp integration on a customers car, we make sure that they get a pioneers. Even with the 2ohm speakers, it works. I know for a fact kenwoods, and sonys will over heat in a matter of minutes
sonofabish
a little late, but i've had infinity kappa's (components up front and coax's in the back) on my d3 for several months now with no problems
