A couple of questions on u310bt

Recommended Posts

Hi there! I'm new to this site and would like to ask you people a couple of questions on this device.

Real life users are welcome!

Questions:

1. The detachable screen: does it hold all the map data or is it stored in the head unit?

2. How about battery life of the detachable unit? Is it comparable with F500BT or better/worse?

3. Any solution to install maps known? I actually need European maps install on a US device. (at the moment seems to be an overkill, I suppose)

Every answer will be highly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

How do I switch off this unit when engine is running? I couldn't locate straight on/off switch for this.

If I hold src button its only turning off the audio source. I can do the screen off, but If I just want to turn it off (with out even knob light) how can I do it? Please reply..

...Except for that one at the top left of the removable screen face plate when you take it out of the head unit. If the switch is left in the "on" position, the screen will not shut off when you shut off the car. But there is no way to shut off the entire unit if the faceplate is installed and the engine is running.
