remix2112
I was able to access the hidden service menu on my AVIC-N1 from instructions in this forum (thanks to all you hacker-types!) - I needed to get in there to adjust the touch screen - Pioneer had said it would be $200 to fix after I have it pulled by an installer which would only add $$ to the repair - I found how to recalibrate the screen in the secret menu (it was tracking a half inch to the left on all screens - I couldn't scroll in address book or POI menus!!) - apparently the "BAND" button on the face is the 'back' button - my problem is I couldn't save my settings & exit - I ended up hitting reset to get it to boot up again, but that obviously lost the new settings does anyone know how to save & exit from the service menu screens? I have edited BIOS settings on my PCs but this was not an obvious setup any help would be appreciated - I don't want to be out any money for something as simple to fix as this
GnatGoSplat
Good question! The service manual actually makes no mention at all of how to save the new settings and I never found it either.
remix2112
what steps does the service menu list when an adjustment has been made??? interesting that it wouldn't be a prominent item in the manual! I hope someone else has some experience with this.
