if you would like to give powerISO a shot, here is a link to a free download. http://www.poweriso.com/ I have been using the trail version for last years and this years version. download and install it. it show two panes, files on the left and folders on the right. as long as you have the file highlighted in the left hand pane and you have the DL DVD inserted, click burn on lowest speed and check verify disc. i wish i could be more for you.

or try this link: http://download.cnet.com/PowerISO/3000- ... 39118.html

OK, I downloaded and installed PowerISO, burned the ISO to a DL DVD and it STILL doesn't work.

not sure why it wouldn't work. i burned last years and this years update the same way. did you make sure you verified the disc?

Yep, I burned at 2x (the slowest it would allow) and varified the disk too.

Pretty sure I downloaded it and burned it correctly. I put it in my D3 and it did some sort or update thing, reset my wallpaper too, lol.

Only issue I have is the area I've been living in since 2007 still isnt on the map. It's on my friends updated Garmin though and google maps.

Could someone look up this area for me and see if I did something wrong or its just not on this GPS...

Here is a picture of the area on google maps.

How do i convert a winrar file into a burnable iso file?

you just need to google the phrase " convert winrar to iso" and you can find your answer on one of the many links. Bottom line is that, "just about any decent cd burning program can do it, such as Nero or Roxio"

You may have to read through some of the forums, but the answer is there.

wow, with all that typing you could have answered him. Use winrar or 7-zip to extract the file which is an iso. then use IMGBurn to burn the image at a nice slow speed like 2.4x

Agreed, there are ignorant people in this world but jeesh if your going to cut them down atleast have a good reason. Not everyone that own's a computer these days knows the in's and out's. That's my 2c

OK, I figured the damn thing out. It's working fine now. I like working with the ISO rather than the RAR file.

Now, I was wondering, since I have the ISO opened up in PowerISO could'nt I just replace some PIM files with custom backgrounds of my own? I'm thinking all I would need is a program to convert JPEG files to PIM files and know which directory to put them in. Am I right?
