Bypassing navigation system

Recommended Posts

Right now the only way to program an address in the navigation, is that the car has to be in park and the parking brake has to be pulled. If your driving and you have programmed a route, and you want to change this route, you have to pull over to delete the current route. Is there anyway that you can program a route while driving, meaning the passenger to do so. Is there any way to bypass this so you would be able to program a route while driving? I understand the safety issues with it, but if you have a passenger in the car, they can program it. I know of other friends that have a different navigation system (not pioneer) and they are able to do so because it was wired with some type of bypass wiring. Please help, thank you.

Would doing a search for "bypass" have been so difficult?
