chinna_n
As per the Pioneer, there is an issue with iPhone 3GS with random freezing. They claim regular 2G iPhone should not have problems, but my 2G has issues with hangs, but more frequently if I sync the contacts. Without synching contacts it lasts for a while thought( a week). AVIC-U310BT
has pioneer suggested any sort of firmware update is in the future for the U310? It's a good bet that we will eventually see a North American firmware update, but Pioneer hasn't really been "prompt" with their updates for other in-dash units, so it may take a long while. any iphone users out there - what has your experience been like? I have the original (2G) iPhone. Music, podcasts, audiobooks, etc. play perfectly from my phone and my girlfriend's second generation iPod touch. I'm not an audiophile, but the sound retrieval (S.Rtrv) feature offers a noticeable improvement in audio. I only use bluetooth on long trips or when I intend to call someone; so, I only turn it on when I need to use it and off afterward. I have all of my contacts synced. Used this way, it has worked 100% flawlessly for me (although I suggest you get a new microphone). However, if you plan to just leave it on between drives like a normal person, it seems probable from what I've read that you will run into the random freezing problem.
